My Cybersecurity & Networking Journey: From Fundamentals to Practical Mastery I’m happy to share that the journey I’ve started since on Cybersecurity through Coursera has intrigued my learning into furthering on practical at TS Academy! starting in February 2026, When I started this path, I knew it would be intense, but I didn’t realize just how transformative the “deep dive” into the building blocks of the digital world would be. Over the past few weeks, I’ve moved from understanding the “Why” of security to the “How” of networking and Linux systems. This wasn’t just about reading theory it was about hours spent in the terminal, debugging packet failures, and building secure environments from the ground up. The Foundations: More Than Just Code I started by immersing myself in the core principles of the CIA Triad (Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability) and the AAA framework. ▫️The Reality of Risk: It’s not just about stopping hackers; it’s about managing likelihood and impact. Learning when to mitigate, transfer, or accept risk changed how I view every system. ▫️ Ethics at the Core: Beyond the technical skills, I’ve learned that legality, honesty, and minimizing harm are the non-negotiables for any true cybersecurity professional. The “Plumbing” of the Internet: Networking & Cisco Labs You don’t truly understand how the world connects until you’ve built it in Cisco Packet Tracer. ▫️Layer by Layer: I spent time mastering the OSI & TCP/IP models, understanding exactly how data is encapsulated and sent across the globe. ▫️ Breaking to Build: I simulated star topologies with switches and routers, intentionally misconfiguring IP addresses to see exactly how a single error breaks communication. ▫️ Defense-in-Depth: Implementing Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN tunnels showed me how multiple layers of security work together to protect data from unauthorized Access The Power of the Shell: Linux Fundamentals Getting comfortable with the command line felt like learning a new language. ▫️Terminal Mastery: Practiced everything from basic directory management (pwd, ls, cd) to complex file operations and system administration. ▫️Access Control: Mastering chmod, chown, and sudo taught me the absolute importance of permissions and privilege management in Linux systems. ▫️Network Testing: Using tools like ping, traceroute, and ip addr to diagnose connectivity and trace network paths in real-time. Tools & Environments Mastered ▫️Kali Linux Virtual Machine (My primary playground) ▫️ Cisco Packet Tracer (For network simulation) ▫️ APT Package Manager (For software management) ▫️ VirusTotal (For malicious link analysis) This journey has significantly strengthened my confidence in network security and system administration. I’m incredibly excited about what’s next as I continue to build more complex, secure solutions. A huge thanks to @TechSphereAcad, Adetola Durojaiye and Favour Onoko for the support and the challenge. The journey continues! #Cybersecurity #TSAcademy #LearningwithTs #30DaysofTech

Happy Saturday 👋. One of the more overlooked aspects of emerging Layer-1 networks is not just their performance metrics, but how they structure interoperability across sectors. This is where @Nasun_io becomes interesting. Rather than optimizing solely for throughput or fees, Nasun is being designed as a multi-domain execution environment where finance, AI systems, and digital content ecosystems can operate within a shared state. Built on a Move-based architecture, the network benefits from resource-oriented programming, which enhances: • Asset safety. • Deterministic execution. • Reduced smart contract vulnerabilities. But the real differentiator lies in its ecosystem composition. Instead of a single flagship application, Nasun integrates: • Pado for decentralized finance and liquidity coordination. • Baram for AI agent governance and on-chain decision frameworks. • Gen Sol for gaming and digital IP expansion. These are not parallel products, they are designed to interact. This allows for scenarios where: • Financial liquidity supports in-game economies. • AI agents participate in governance tied to real economic layers. • User activity flows across sectors without fragmentation. If executed properly, Nasun could evolve into a coordinated on-chain environment, rather than just another isolated blockchain.

Remote workers and forex traders have the worst security habits on the internet. Trading account on public WiFi. Broker login saved in Chrome. MT4 password is their birthday. Two factor authentication? Never heard of her. Then they join a Telegram group called “VIP Forex Signals Pro Max” Send $500 to an admin with no profile picture And wonder why their account is at zero. You are not being unlucky. You are being predictable. And predictable people are the easiest to scam.

𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐢𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠. Digital earning has changed. So have scams, hacks, and asset loss. Whether you earn from crypto, Web3, freelancing, remote jobs, content creation, or online businesses, the risks today are not basic. The biggest losses do not come from obvious fraud. They come from trust, ignorance, and poor security habits. First, understand this: every digital earner is a target. Not because you are careless, but because your money is online, traceable, and constantly exposed. Scammers study behavior. Hackers study systems. They do not guess. They profile. Nigeria is especially exposed: financial fraud cases rose about 45 percent in one year, with roughly 70 percent of losses linked to digital platforms like unregulated crypto and online schemes. Over 740,000 attempted digital fraud incidents have been recorded in recent years, with billions of naira lost to phishing, SIM‑swap fraud, and credential theft. 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐫𝐲𝐩𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐞𝐛𝟑 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬: your wallet is not just a wallet. It is your identity. -Never connect your main wallet to random sites. -Use burner wallets and revoke permissions regularly. -If a platform asks you to “verify” by sending funds, it is a scam. No legitimate protocol ever asks for this. -Do not send money before getting payment for work you have already done and verified. 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬: contracts and payment proof matter. -Fake clients, chargeback fraud, and account takeovers are increasing. -Never rely on screenshots. Confirm payments on‑chain or through official platforms. -Separate work income from personal accounts. It protects you legally and financially. -Do not pay for “verification fees,” “equipment purchases,” or “upfront service charges” before payment arrives. 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬: brand deals are now one of the biggest attack vectors. -Fake emails, cloned contracts, and impersonation scams are everywhere. -Verify domains. Never download attachments blindly. -Enable two‑factor authentication on every account. Losing access once can erase years of work overnight. One rule applies to everyone: poor record keeping equals asset loss. If you cannot explain where your money came from, how it moved, or where it went, you are vulnerable to scams, disputes, investigations, and taxes. Documentation is protection. And finally, mindset matters: -Stop thinking scams only target beginners -Stop thinking hacks only happen to careless people. Most victims are smart. What fails is preparation. Security is not fear. Forensics is not paranoia. It is discipline. In 2026, digital earners who make it through are the ones who: -Understand systems -Preserve evidence -Verify before trusting -Treat their income like something worth protecting Avoid scams. Prevent hacks. Protect your assets. Check your accounts today. Protect your assets.
