It’s fair to say not every Democrat is “extreme.” But outcomes matter more than labels imo Chicago has seen: A net 40% increase in city spending since 2019 Nearly $1B budget gaps in recent years Repeated proposals for new taxes to close deficits Millions tied to the migrant crisis locally, and billions statewide Insurance is climbing at ridiculous rate Even credit agencies and analysts note migrant inflows are straining big-city budgets like Chicago So the concern from the right isn’t just “media framing” it’s that the policy direction currently (spending, taxes, and priorities) hasn’t produced strong fiscal stability or confidence. Local election results don’t really change that picture, they just reflect who voters chose within the same system.

Honest question for republicans. Chicago is a very Democratic city. You think of Democrats as hijacked by extremists. But the truth is, progressives were wiped out last night. They lost literally every race. Could it be that we’re less extreme than your media is telling you?

Folks, I don’t know what happened to the KC-135. I have some intel, but it’s all unverified. I will say that a midair collision is more likely than many realize. It’s not common in civilian airspace, but still happens there. Military airspace is different & often less controlled. Your eyes can’t always spot another jet coming at you in time to do anything about it. Hell, most of the time I can’t spot traffic until they are pretty close, even after ATC tells me where they are & how far away. Never could…it’s not an age or eyesight thing. Closure can be around 1,000 mph if head-on. “Big Sky Theory” is a thought that the sky is really big in 3 dimensions, and there are so few airplanes, that airplanes will never meet in the air. It is dangerously wrong & has killed many over the years. I have heard what I take as rumors. I will not repeat them. None of the rumors involve a shoot down or nefarious activity. Busy airspace is a threat in itself. Yes, TCAS is a thing…but TCAS is sometimes turned off for mission requirements. We will need to wait to hear more. I’m sorry, that is all I have to say at the moment.

🚨#BREAKING: Pentagon officials say a Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker has crashed in western Iraq with six crew members on board while operating in the area during Operation Epic Fury. Officials say the incident was not the result of hostile or friendly fire. Two aircraft were involved in the event one crashed while the other landed safely. They are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
