Ok, so, three artists have already dropped out and I’m going to explain WHY this continues to happen and how this all works. When these people try to hire you for an event, they go through an LLC or a promoter. That promoter isn’t told what the whole event is or the LLC is an innocuous shell 🧵

If Roy Keane wants to go down this road, then fine. Let’s go there. I will take it to hell. This is the same Roy Keane who, in 2019, openly said he still wasn’t interested in reconciling with Sir Alex Ferguson unless Ferguson apologised for how his United career ended. The same Ferguson who backed him for years. Defended him. Even bailed him out after Keane assaulted a 14-year-old outside his own home in 2005 after the kid mocked him. Yet Keane still carries the bitterness because Ferguson eventually had enough and showed him the door. Keane later called Ferguson a “stench” around the club and blamed him for United not moving forward. So spare everyone the act like this is just “honest punditry.” A lot of it is resentment that never left. Now his entire media career revolves around going after modern players, modern captains, and Manchester United in general because negativity keeps him relevant. Great player? Absolutely. Legend? Yes. But let’s stop pretending he was some saint who only cared about standards. There’s a reason controversy followed him during his career and long after it ended. Even Nottingham Forest — the club where it all started for him — distanced themselves from him for years. Roy Keane’s problem is simple: Ferguson ended the Roy Keane era before Roy Keane was ready for it to end, and he has never truly gotten over it.

Rusev is 40. And he's the best midcard act on #WWERaw so far because : - He's not in boring squash matches every week - He's not trying to get over - His job is putting people over - Jevon Evans can beat him - Rey Mysterio, a fan favourite, can beat him That's what makes Rusev so much interesting. He's a big man side quest.
Corb💨💔✨@HeartBreakCorb

A 50+ Rey Mysterio beat Rusev last night but nobody is talking about it… However if it was Hulk hogan or any other wrestler as old as him people would complain. I love rey but how you not putting rusev over when hes the younger guy and its fucking Rusev. WWE have been doing rusev wrong since the guy came back.

Christopher Nolan filmed the Dark Knight hospital explosion at a derelict candy factory in Chicago that had been scheduled for demolition. He convinced the owners to let him blow up the building on camera. The crew got exactly one take. Here is what actually happened in that one take. The pause in the middle of the explosion that everyone attributes to Heath Ledger improvising was engineered by special effects supervisor Chris Corbould as a safety beat. Ledger had to walk out of a real building filled with real explosives. The only way to do that safely was to space the detonations so he could clear the structure before the main demolition. The "Joker fiddling with the detonator" moment was rehearsed. What I keep coming back to is how durable the improv myth is. Corbould has been on the record correcting it for over fifteen years, and a single TikTok pushing the false version crossed 30 million views in under a month. The actual story is better than the myth. A practical-effects team orchestrated the controlled demolition of a real building in downtown Chicago with the lead actor walking out of it in character on the only take they would ever get. Harder to pull off than improvisation, and Corbould's name should be in every retelling of the scene.

Cuando Heath Ledger pensó que la explosión había fallado, se mantuvo en personaje e improvisó, y la escena se conservó en la película.

One of the most annoying things Singaporeans say is that the food in Japan is better, in a bid to be trendy or as a ‘flex’ that they’ve been to Japan. Not that it’s a wrong take, but the points of comparison are usually warped af. “The sashimi in Japan is fresher!” Well if you’re eating at a chain restaurant, the deep sea fish like salmon and tuna are frozen, just like the ones you get back home in Singapore. “The ramen in Tokyo is so much better!” Ok, why? Nope, can’t give a proper food critique. Personally I find most ramen options in Japan to be too ‘balanced’ or mild for my Singaporean tastebuds. And if you ever say the above and use Ichiran as reference, you should be barred from ever having a food opinion. Pictured: Soshiji (Iekei, and thicker soup duh), which for me is among the best in Singapore.

never ask me for food recommendations if you're coming to Tokyo. "any ramen places you recommend?" like bitch we do not have a shared mutual understanding of ramen, to you ramen is just a bowl of soup noodles but to me it's a religion. I can trace the lineage of every ie-kei place back to yoshimuraya before you can even finish looking up the nearest ichiran beside your hotel. I have 300 points saved up on the nakamoto app and my local ramen shop gives me extra chashu for ordering the correct option everytime. to ask me for food recommendations is like asking LeBron James for shooting tips. We are eight leagues apart and nothing I can say to you will resonate in your uncultured brain for even a millisecond. but yeah just go to ichiran

@CorvidDevoid Can we stop with this 'sleepy fishing village' nonsense. We had an established port and were a vital trading route. Why would a for-profit company dump tons of resources into fishing?

There are good things the British did for us. They educated Lee Kuan Yew. They gave us an English education. And they turned our fishing village into a trading hub. BUT despite all of that.. they failed us miserably during WW2. The invasion of Singapore by Imperial Japan (NOT modern Japan. Imperial Japan) taught us that our colonial "masters" cannot be relied on. Now, about Modern Japan,... I don't think Japan is perfect. In fact, a lot of problems Japanese people face everyday, are nearly identical to what Singaporeans face in Singapore. I like Japan because its one of the countries I can find something to relate with, unlike western countries like America or Australia. We also share similar social values and public safety albeit with some differences. I don't put Japan on a pedestal. I see Japan as equal to Singapore, just like South Korea or Taiwan.

I was sitting in a Starbucks in Kyoto working on my laptop. A college-aged girl approached me looking nervous. She asked in very careful English "excuse me, may I practice English with you?" I said sure. She sat down with a notebook full of prepared questions. "Where are you from?" "How long in Japan?" "What is your job?" All written out in advance. We talked for about 30 minutes. Her English was okay but she kept apologizing for mistakes. I told her she didn't need to apologize, she was doing great. She said "but I have studied English for 10 years. Should be better." I asked why she was so focused on learning English. She said she wanted to be a translator, specifically for international disaster relief. "When the tsunami happened in 2011, many foreign rescue teams came to help. But communication was difficult. I was only 12 but I remember seeing foreign helpers looking confused, Japanese people looking confused. Everyone wanted to help but could not understand each other." She said "I decided then I will be bridge. So people who want to help can help." I told her that was one of the best reasons to learn a language I'd ever heard. She smiled. "My English teacher says I should practice business English for a better job. But I don't want a business job. I want to help people when they are scared." We talked for another hour. When she left, she bowed and said "thank you for practice. You are my teacher today." I said no, she taught me something. She looked confused. I said "you taught me that language learning can be about something bigger than business."

Watching legal dramas is the worst thing to ever happen to my client base. A real estate developer told me he wanted to destroy opposing counsel in a deposition. He practically begged me to wait for the perfect moment to slide a smoking gun across the table. I explained that discovery doesn't work by ambush. Every document we had was already produced on a hard drive 3 months ago. He accused me of lacking a killer instinct. During the actual deposition, he tried to dramatically yell objection to a basic background question. The room went completely silent. Even the court reporter stopped typing to stare at him. I called for a 5-minute recess. I told him if he opened his mouth again, I would withdraw as counsel. Real litigation isn't entertaining. It's really boring and expensive.
