Yet Arsenal kept this same man in a senior role for five long years, 5 fucking years, tolerating repeated poor recruitments, strategy and overall competence. He didn’t even get sacked; he resigned when he felt like it, walking away on his own terms. And now we’re expected to trust this club’s judgement on Mikel Arteta? This is a club that spent half a decade propping up mediocrity in the boardroom, showing zero balls and zero real ambition. A club happy to settle for “progress” and “good football” while the trophy cabinet gathers dust. Finishing second, reaching Champions League semi-finals these are achievements, sure. But when has that ever been the standard for a big club like Arsenal? What’s the point of consistent top-four finishes and pretty football if we can’t even win domestic cups? We want silverware, not moral victories and “project” excuses at the end of every season. The Kroenke family’s unwillingness to make the hard calls whether on Edu previously or now on Arteta only reinforces the same culture of complacency. It suggests that these owners are as unambitious and detached as the people they’ve employed. It’s all about business and money aspect of it for them. Enough is enough. Kroenke OUT. Arteta OUT. Sell the club to owners who actually understand what Arsenal stands for and have the ambition and courage to match it.
