Are you aware that in 2019 July ED Mnangagwa visited DRC to see Joseph Kabila and discuss about compensation for Zimbabwe’s DRC war effort. If you know then you are aware that ED demanded USD1 billion in compensation and was told flat in his face that “we paid you” There is no spinning this one.

Zimbabwean citizens deserves to know that Zimbabwe was paid compensation for the DRC war through mining concessions, timber and forestry deals but the money and minerals were looted by @ZANUPF_Official, @edmnangagwa who was ZanuPF Secretary of Finance responsible for all Zanu PF companies and financial activities. Zimbabwe through a front consortium Cosleg (a joint venture between Kabilas company Comiex-Africa and Operation Sovereign Legitimacy the ZDF wing) headed by Billy Rautenbach through his company Ridgepoint were awarded several mining concessions as compensation for the war losses. The money never made it home. Emmerson Mnangagwa used his power as ZanuPF Chief Administrator and established various shelf companies in Mauritius and was fronted by General Zvinavashe who was given logistics business, General Sibusiso Moyo was placed under Gecamines to loot diamonds, John Bredenkamp to provide military hardware, food and resources to Kabila’s army and all proceeds were banked offshore. DRC proceeds and the concealing of the theft claimed the lives of Moven Mahachi the then defence minister, General Zvinavashe and John Bredenkamp who had by then fled to United Kingdom after demanding his cut and got threatened. This is the reason why Billy Rautenbach was given a monopoly over ethanol blending in Zimbabwe. He is just a Cosleg, Zanu PF and ED Front. Zanu PF owned Socebo in DRC which was given 33 million hectares of timber land and the proceeds never made it to the national fiscus. DRC misadventures later claimed the lives of several ministers and army generals and the original Cosleg Board members who remain are Rautenbach, ED and Chiwenga. The rest are gone. Zimbabwe lost over USD500 million on DRC war which Mugabe stole from the IMF SDR rights and went to war without consulting the parliament. ED was a key player and still is on the DRC matter and certainly does not deserve a term extension. @PrinceOfMutasa @ZANUPF_Official @edmnangagwa The reason they could not sanction Zim at that time because ZDF was in DRC under SADC.this report n the land seizures gave Americans reasons to sanction Zim in 2002 n 2003.the allegations were just a smear campaign n avenue to sanction zim

@isaiahk1973 @ZANUPF_Official @edmnangagwa One thing everyone seem not to consider is a number of soldiers who perished for NOTHING in DRC. They perished to enrich a few individuals. Zimbabwe Defence Forces were used as a private army by Zanu PF officials.

The DRC issue, gross misuse of Zimbabwe’s IMF Economic Rescue package in that war, fighting US foreign policy and of course neo-colonialism amongst the other issues are what led to the targeted sanctions on Zimbabwe. Zanu PF try to spin issues otherwise to cover up for their DRC atrocities

Some idiots will never grasp that fact that Rhodesians were able to think out of the box. They did not sit on their laurels and start blameshifting. They got to work!! They created Affretair a cargo airline which they use to burst sanctions and all the revenue found its way back home to the central bank. They committed themselves to the cause. Unlike now you @wicknellchivayo a proven conman as your sanctions burster, you have his brother Fergie, Delish Nguwaya, @hon_pedzaiscott, @HBRushwaya, Ewan Mcmillan and a host of other criminals as your sanctions burster who do not remit the money home. Rhodesians created a robust Agriculture policy and a tobacco cushion. For 6 years, the government of Smith purchased and funded all tobacco harvests from 1968 to 1974 and then emerged as a tobacco giant worlwide with surplus stock. Argentina purchased a USD77 million of tobacco in that year. Rhodesian Army innovated and started manufacturing its own vehicles and equipment which later gave birth to Zimbabwe Defence Industries. Ammunitions and small arms where manufactured and not imported. Trucks and buses where manufactured and not imported. Comparing Rhodesians and Zanu PF is trying to compare zero and one hundred

The sanctions actually accelerated Rhodesian’s industrial abilities Manufacturing that was only expected in the next decade began sooner as Rhodesia couldn’t import and had to begin internal productivity
GHK@PrinceOfMutasa

Zimbabwean citizens need to know that Rhodesian government was in power for 15 years only with an economic growth of 7% per annum despite a civil war and sanctions. They were the only nation to undergo industrial and agricultural revolution concurrently and left a robust economy, strong fiscal system and was then-breadbasket of the region. They achieved rapid industrialisation and agrarian revolution resulting in the establishment of Tobacco Marketing Board with the world’s largest tobacco auction floors, Grain Marketing Board, Dairiboard Rhodesia/Zimbabwe, David Whitehead textiles, Cold Storage Commission, Salisbury Passengers Company (later ZUPCO) , Air Rhodesia (later Air Zimbabwe), Rhodesian Railway (later NRZ) and many others. They left Zimbabwe as world number one tobacco producers, top ten beef exporter, top ten gold producer, number one nickel and chrome producer, copper and iron producer, best infrastructure development and Africa’s best road network despite sanctions and a war!! They left grain silos full of grain in Centenary, Banket, Lions Den and scattered throughout the country only for the nation to find out they had been emptied when famine visited the nation in 1992 by @ZANUPF_Official Kumbirai Kangai and GMB officials. No one was arrested. Needless to say that @zanupf_patriots ran those parastatals to the ground and some to comatose point and the bread basket of Southern Africa was turned into an empty basket case. They inherited Africa’ best urban transport system and renamed it ZUPCO and ran it into the ground. In 2019 @edmnangagwa announced the introduction of 500 buses to replace the fleet and only 200 were “delivered” never to be seen again on the road and the balance was never delivered. They inherited the best air fleet and aircraft’s but today its a very sad state of the matter. We are not saying let us go back to Rhodesia but simply stating that Zanu PF is synonymous with failure and do not deserve a term extension The CIA link below details how Rhodesians fought sanctions and made it cia.gov/readingroom/do… @advocatemahere @TrevorNcube @bbmhlanga @BlessedGeza @HeraldZimbabwe @ChronicleZim @Studio7VOA @NehandaRadio @toneo1st @IanSmiththe3rd @LynneStactia @mailandguardian @thestandardzim @VOANews @ChangeRadioZW @peterndoro @Sophie_Mokoena @DIRCO_ZA

Zimbabwe spent nearly US $1 billion on electricity imports in the last 5 years, mainly from Mozambique's Cahora Bassa, Zambia's ZESCO & South Africa's Eskom. To put this into perspective, the same amount of money can build 8 x 100MW of solar power stations (including substations) or add 2 x 300MW coal fired units at Hwange Power Station.

I do not CHATGPT a life that i have lived. Whats the point of researching that which i already know. I am genuinely upset because of the level of corruption and misrepresentation that is done by Zanu PF and its followers! Zanu PF has been in power since 1980 and there is NO ONE who can convince us that they are still a good game in town. Their performance and corruption speaks volumes and need no spin. Bro, you cannot spin Zanu PF out of failure and corruption. Its their nature.

CHIVHAYO'S SEIZED JET HAUNTS MNANGANGWA'S GOLD EXIT : AS ED’S SECRET DEPARTURE FUELS ELITE PLUNDER FEARS BY RTD DIO SHEPHERD MPESWE President Mnangagwa’s secretive midnight departure from Zim on May 13, 2026, has all the hallmarks of a leadership that no longer feels accountable to its own people. This was not diplomacy. It was not routine travel. It was a calculated, concealed exit and one that raises far more questions than the State is willing to answer. Under the cover of darkness, ED reportedly slipped into RGM International Airport in private vehicles, cleared staff from his path & boarded a jet without any of the basic protocols expected of a Head of State. No official communication. No transparency. No accountability. This is not how legitimate governments conduct themselves but this is exactly how power behaves when it has something to hide. A second aircraft is said to have departed in close succession, reportedly carrying gold, just days after Mnangagwa’s inspection of Reserve Bank vaults. The coincidence is too glaring to ignore. Zimbos are being asked, once again, to look away while their national wealth is moved in secrecy. Moved by whom ? For whose benefit ? Under what authority ? Does this explain why Winston Chitando, the former Mines Minister was fired ? These are not abstract questions but they go to the heart of whether Zimbabwe’s resources still belong to its people or whether they have been captured by a politically connected elite operating behind a wall of silence and impunity. The broader context makes this episode even more damning. South African authorities recently seized a private jet linked to Wicknell Chivayo, while his brother was caught with millions worth of smuggled Zimbabwean gold. This is not a coincidence. It is a pattern. A pattern in which gold flows out, accountability disappears, relevant institutions & those in power say nothing. No credible explanation from the Government. No clarity from the Reserve Bank. No meaningful briefing to the nation. Instead, Zimbos are handed the tired fiction of a “routine” handover of power, as if secrecy at this scale is normal. It is not normal. It is not acceptable & it is not accidental. The timing strips away any remaining doubt. This covert departure comes just days before public hearings on Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3, a controversial push widely seen as an attempt to entrench executive power. At precisely the moment when ED should be subjecting himself to public scrutiny, he disappears into the night. That is not leadership. That is evasion. Zimbabweans must now ask themselves a difficult but necessary question, why does a government that seeks more power behave as if it cannot withstand basic transparency ? What exactly is being protected, national interest or private networks of accumulation ? The truth is becoming harder to ignore. The secrecy, the gold movements, the scandals & the constitutional manoeuvres, all point in the direction of a system that serves itself first & the nation last . This is no longer just about one flight. It is about whether Zimbabwe still has a government that answers to its people or one that operates above them. A President who can leave in secret, while strategic national assets allegedly follow in the shadows, is a President who has placed distance between himself and public accountability. If power can move gold in the dark, it can move a nation in the same way, quietly, unaccountably and against the will of its people. That is what is truly at stake. @advocatemahere @mawarirej @schikanza @BitiTendai @ibbosnr @ConvoWithTrevor @Sophie_Mokoena @kerinamujati @LynneStactia @matinyarare @ChangeRadioZW @NewsHawksLive @HonMinSanyatwe @rpkwafawarova
