I think the real takeaway is that whether it’s the Quran, the Bible, the Torah, whatever, there are plenty of instances where religious texts portray/celebrate individuals and acts that would be deemed as objectively terrible by today’s standards. I mean, Passover for example is a religious celebration of the mass killing of innocent children just because of their race/parentage. Countless ppl from western societies have criticized islam for specific aspects of the religious texts/teachings that reference violent behavior, but ignore similarly violent rhetoric eschewed in Christian or Jewish traditions

There are many nuances to stories like these in general. But most often cases where men are physically abused and/or assaulted by women get ignored because of the relative level of strength associated with women who hit men vs the opposite scenario. If a man hits, punches, or chokes a woman, the harm caused is typically far more serious than when the opposite occurs, and thus the rate of reporting/action being taken is dramatically lower. While this makes sense to a degree, the natural result is that truly violent and abusive women are able to continue with their ways without significant consequences until it is too late. And the men involved don’t feel empowered to report their victimhood because of the societal stigma that comes along with it. On the other hand, women who are victims of domestic abuse face similar issues because of how difficult it is to prove victimhood and facing similar stigmatization in society for being in relationships with abusive partners

Earlier today Klay Thompson went on IG live to give his own narrative on what really caused the breakup between him and Megan thee stallion. Apparently he said that Megan cheated on him first and that she was unfaithful and she is just trying to push the narrative that he is the bad guy here. He also ranted about how he cared and took care of her every need and even introduced her to his family but that wasn’t enough she went out to clubs and cheated with other guys. He also said she was too demanding and he was tired of it all that’s why he ended things.
