While visiting the Lubaga Hospital booth at the Annual Surgical Scientific Conference (AOSU) 2026 at Speke Resort Munyonyo, Assoc. Prof. Frank Asiimwe, President of the Uganda Medical Association, highlighted that Lubaga Hospital is the second fully ready centre in Uganda for multi‑organ transplant services.
This comes as Uganda strengthens its laws on organ donation and transplant, making these lifesaving procedures safe, ethical, and local.
