उत्तराखंड के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री मेजर जनरल भुवन चंद्र खण्डूडी (सेवानिवृत्त) जी के निधन से अत्यंत दुख हुआ है। सशस्त्र बलों से लेकर राजनीतिक जगत में उन्होंने बहुमूल्य योगदान दिया, जिसके लिए उन्हें सदैव याद किया जाएगा। उत्तराखंड के विकास के लिए वे हमेशा समर्पित रहे, जो मुख्यमंत्री के रूप में उनके कार्यकाल में भी साफ तौर पर दिखा। केंद्रीय मंत्री के रूप में भी उनका कार्यकाल हर किसी को प्रेरित करने वाला है। देशभर में कनेक्टिविटी की बेहतरी के लिए उन्होंने निरंतर अथक प्रयास किए। शोक की इस घड़ी में मेरी संवेदनाएं उनके परिजनों और समर्थकों के साथ हैं। ओम शांति!

I Göteborg träffade jag Robert Maersk Uggla, ordförande för Maersk. Vi diskuterade de stora möjligheterna i Indien och ökade investeringar, särskilt inom sektorer som hamninfrastruktur, logistik och mer. @Maersk

Hedrad över att ha talat vid European Round Table for Industry (ERT) i Göteborg igår. Mitt tal behandlade den växande konvergensen mellan Indien och Europa, de möjligheter som frihandelsavtalet mellan Indien och EU öppnar, Indiens reformdrivna tillväxtresa och de stora möjligheterna till samarbete inom teknik, ren energi, infrastruktur, mobilitet och sjukvård. @SwedishPM @vonderleyen

Hade fantastiska samtal med statsminister Ulf Kristersson. Det var fantastiskt att H.K.H Kronprinsessan Victoria också deltog i mötet. Hon framförde också lyckönskningar från Deras Majestäter Kungen och Drottningen av Sverige. Min tacksamhet till dem. Relationerna mellan Indien och Sverige bygger på starka grunder av demokratiska värderingar, rättsstatens principer och människocentrerad utveckling. Med tanke på vårt växande samarbete inom alla områden beslutade vi att höja våra relationer till ett strategiskt partnerskap. Våra samtal omfattade att främja det bilaterala samarbetet inom sektorer som handel, försvar, innovation, AI, klimatförändringar med mera. @SwedishPM

Landed in Oslo, Norway. I’m grateful to Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre for the warm welcome at the airport. This is the first Prime Ministerial visit to Norway in over four decades. I’m confident it will add vigour to the India-Norway friendship. I will call on Their Majesties King Harald V and Queen Sonja and hold talks with Prime Minister Støre. Tomorrow, on the 19th, the 3rd India-Nordic Summit will take place in Oslo, presenting a wonderful opportunity to meet my Nordic counterparts. @jonasgahrstore

PM Modi Pitches Bold Investment Vision to Europe’s Top CEOs at Historic ERT Roundtable in Gothenburg In a packed evening session that brought together some of Europe’s most powerful boardrooms, Prime Minister took the stage at the European Round Table for Industry (ERT) to issue a call to action: invest in India, and invest now. Held on the evening of 17 May 2026 in Gothenburg, Sweden’s industrial heartland and a symbol of European manufacturing strength, the high-powered roundtable saw the PM address an audience of senior executives representing Europe’s largest corporations. The event, co-hosted by Swedish PM Ulf Kristersson and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, marked one of the most significant diplomatic-business engagements between India and Europe in recent years. Who Was in the Room? The ERT session brought together an elite cross-section of European industry. Among the companies represented were: Telecom & Digital: Vodafone, Ericsson, Nokia, Orange Technology & Semiconductors: ASML, NXP, SAP, Capgemini Energy & Clean Tech: ENGIE, TotalEnergies, Shell, Umicore Infrastructure, Mobility & Manufacturing: Volvo Group, Maersk, Airbus, Saab, ArcelorMittal, Heidelberg Healthcare & Life Sciences: AstraZeneca, Roche, Merck, Philips, Nestlé, Unilever Why This Roundtable Was Significant The PM laid out a crisp five-sector framework for deeper India-Europe industrial collaboration, challenging each company in the room to make a specific new commitment to India within the next five years. He spoke candidly about India’s reform journey, the recently concluded India-EU Free Trade Agreement (dubbed the “Mother of All Deals”), and the structural advantages India now offers global businesses. The five priority sectors the PM identified for partnership were: • Telecom & Digital Infrastructure: 5G-to-6G transition, AI-enabled networks, digital inclusion • AI, Semiconductors & Deep-Tech Manufacturing: building India into a global end-to-end tech hub • Green Transition & Clean Energy: hydrogen, EVs, energy storage, decarbonisation • Infrastructure, Mobility & Urban Transformation: aerospace, green steel, logistics, defence • Healthcare & Life Sciences: vaccines, cancer care, digital health, medical devices Concrete Proposals on the Table PM Modi put forward a set of structural proposals to institutionalise the India-Europe business relationship: • An annual India-Europe CEO Roundtable bringing together industry bodies from both sides • Sector-specific working groups to fast-track collaboration in priority areas • An ERT India Desk / India Action Group to support companies already in India and facilitate new entrants • Government-backed institutional reviews of flagship projects to ensure time-bound delivery “Can every company here make one new, bold commitment to India? Can we identify flagship projects that will launch in the next five years? The Indian government will back every single one of them.” The Bigger Picture The Gothenburg meeting came on the heels of several landmark India-EU developments: the conclusion of the India-EU Free Trade Agreement, a new Security and Defence Partnership, a Mobility Agreement, and an active India-EU Trade and Technology Council. The PM underscored India’s credentials as the world’s fastest-growing major economy, home to 1.4 billion people, the third-largest startup ecosystem globally, and a country that has spent the last twelve years rebuilding its business environment through landmark reforms: GST, IBC, corporate tax cuts, PLI schemes, FDI liberalisation, and a dramatic reduction in regulatory compliances. What is the ERT? The ERT is a forum of around 55 chief executives and chairpersons of major multinational companies of European origin, spanning a wide range of industrial and technological sectors. It is one of the most influential business bodies in Europe and regularly engages with EU institutions and member-state governments on economic policy.

Today’s community welcome in Oslo included ‘Rhythms of India’, which reflected the cultural diversity of India. From Sattriya to Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi to Odissi, Kathak to Mohiniyattam, each dance form carries years of devotion, discipline and excellence. I Oslo rådhus deltok statsminister Jonas Gahr Støre og jeg på et næringslivs- og forskertoppmøte. Det var en hyggelig anledning til å samhandle med aktører fra både næringslivet og forskningsmiljøene. Våre land har gode muligheter for samarbeid innen områder som matsikkerhet, gjødsel, fiskeri og energi. Jeg inviterte Norge til å investere i Indias satsing på ren energi.
