@WreckaCenter Not the worst, but def the most EPIC! The last week of school, I had already resigned to be an admin. The students were on school issued Chromebooks while I packed up my classroom watching YouTube. YouTube was blocked by the server, I taught them how to hack the system! 🤣

Admin, don't expect your teachers to put other people's children ahead of their own. PERIOD.

Leaders: It's okay to not have an immediate answer to a question/concern of a staff member! Taking the time to think things through is important. Just make sure you FOLLOW THROUGH with a decision in a timely fashion.

Admins: do your districts allow cell phones in classrooms? My BOE supported me and my teachers & we worked together to add no cell phones in classrooms into our handbook. I'm excited to see the positive outcome of having kid's FULL attention. Not to mention, I less drama!

What's one thing you did this week that was purposefully intentional and will have positive impact on your staff and students? I found Seminar Curriculum for our teachers & made copies so they don't have to when they come back Tuesday. It will be one less class for them to prep.

It's a sad day for our country when kids and teachers don't have autonomy over the books they read in their classrooms. It smells of fascism and it stinks. You can ban the books but it won't stop them from being read! We should make access to books EASIER not harder!

Admin, are you (we) the reason some of our teachers get the Sunday Scaries? The dreadful depression that some educators get on Sunday bc they know Monday is coming and they won't have the support they need from their admin throughout the week? Think about it...
