We wanted to share some context about recent activity involving Privacy Cards and CFA MobilePay. On May 8, our systems detected a PAN enumeration attack at CFA MobilePay. This is a known industry attack pattern where bad actors take a credit card BIN and attempt to guess active card numbers until they get a successful authorization. Privacy Cards are designed to decline this type of attempt, so our customers remain protected. We surface this information because transparency matters to us.

Someone just tried to use the credit card number that I used to renew my state drivers license with online back in 2024 but were declined. This is exactly why I use @PrivacyHQ cards for anything online. Card numbers that i can control and turn on/off. Long-term customer!

My hot take on agentic payments as longtime fintech nerd is that we already have most of the tools you need. They're called virtual cards, and companies like @PrivacyHQ have had programmable payments for over a decade.

If only there was a way to hide your card info, mask merchant names on your bank statement, and stop random sites from charging you...

Did you know you can checkout with Privacy Cards on mobile without copying & pasting numbers? The iOS extension autofills card numbers for you.

@PrivacyHQ need help with this. How can i resettle this, this weekend with fundings being posted late from last week cause a transaction to bounce when the account indeed had funds. The delay in posting is the issue. The original page to submit payment isn't available anymore.

Financial institutions as we know them are about to go headless like Vlad alludes! @stripe, @IncreaseDev, @column, @unit_co_, @lithic, and @plaid can now compete directly with the fintechs they previously served by opening up their infra to agents. Think about what fintechs without bank charters actually are. They're UX, workflow, and customer acquisition machines. They acquire customers and make the experience slick. But if @perplexity_ai, @OpenAI, and @AnthropicAI can handle UX, workflow, customer acquisition, and make the experience bespoke because I prompt it into exactly what I want... the infra providers don't need the fintech in the middle anymore. So who wins the agentic headless FI? My bet: a few tech-forward fintechs and some of the infra companies. The messy middle gets crushed. Think the Chicago Tribune of fintech. The biggest fintechs get bigger, a handful of infra providers get massive, and the 200 middling neobanks and lending apps that are basically reskinned BaaS wrappers? Cooked. Take @privacy. Right now I go in, manually create a virtual card, set a spend limit, assign it to a merchant. It works but it's me doing the schlepping. Now imagine: "Privacy, create a unique virtual card for every transaction over $50, set each one to single-use, auto-dispute any charge that exceeds the original amount by more than 10%." That's a personal @tryramp. Not Ramp the company. Ramp the capability. Expense policies, card controls, dispute automation, vendor management. All running on your behalf through agents prompting against financial APIs. No CFO required. No finance team. Just your rules, your agent, your money. Honestly can't wait. Will be incredible for consumers!

The most important financial infrastructure of the next decade may look less like a bank branch and more like a developer platform.

Yes - this setting is available in our mobile app under "Funding Source" and does NOT label the type of merchant, only "PWP Privacy.com" Check out our Help Center for more details: support.privacy.com/hc/en-us/artic… (Also, if you fund with a Visa debit card, this setting won't appear since Visa debit transactions are processed in batches that already use our generic descriptor by default) Feel free to DM us if you're still having trouble!

Pro tip: hide merchant names on your bank statement with a generic descriptor.

Why Privacy? • MCP & CLI built for agents (pick your side, or don't...we built both) • Flexible spend limits & merchant controls to keep agents in check • No pre-funding required • We've been building payments for 10+ years & have processed billions in transactions
