What is Private.Ki ? It's fully encrypted email + messenger in one app. End‑to‑end by default (we can’t read your messages). PGP for all mail; SMTP encrypted on receipt. Even metadata encrypted. No logs. Anonymous sign‑up. VPN/Tor welcome. Let's go private! 🔐

@Milajoy Totally exaggerated and depends on location. Mostly you don't show your ID "to drive" (to whom?) or to buy alcohol (as long as don't look young).

I show my ID to fly. I show my ID to drink. I show my ID to drive. I show my ID to marry. I show my ID to buy weed. I show my ID to gamble. I show my ID to get Benadryl. I show my ID to work. Why in the hell wouldn’t I need an ID to vote?

@levelsio The difference is that in China you can't buy a train ticket without passport (foreigner) or ID (Chinese). In other countries, you can buy a ticket in cash and don't need any ID. That's just Chinese. You also need your passport to enter Disneyland, for example.

I want to classify replies like these as "extreme naivety with good intentions" You know that every train ticket you buy in the West is directly tied to your payment and with that you? The Visa/MasterCard system is essentially a co-op with gov and they know exactly where you are, where you go, what you buy and what you do at all times if they want Not that I think that's good at all btw, I think the gov shouldn't know much at all, but you can't act all superior about China when we pretty much do the exact same

@levelsio Yes very cool that the government can so easily monitor and control every aspect of each citizen’s lives including can they even buy a train ticket

In a world where digital tools are increasingly politicized, we built one that isn’t. Private.Ki is for everyone who values privacy - no matter who they are, or what side they’re on.

We don’t know what you send. We don’t want to know. End-to-end encryption means even we can’t read it. That’s what neutrality looks like, by design.

Check the CO₂ level in your bedroom. Mine went to unhealthy levels approx. 1.5 hours after being in bed. Unhealthy CO₂ level = bad sleep. I also had bad sleep for years. Small changes (leaving bedroom door open to get better air circulation) fixed this for me, now I sleep perfectly every night.

I’ll Venmo someone $1000 if they can fix my sleep permanently. I havent slept through a night in 10 years. Tried every sleep supplement under the sun , several peptides. Dropped 50 lbs. I still wake up 8-10x a night

@nikitabier 1. The sound of dial-up modems. 2. Connection speed of 14,400 bit/s. 3. Saving downloaded websites on floppy disks to view the offline, to save Internet costs. 4. Going to the local university (with 14/15 years) to use their faster (and free) internet connection.
