My boomer neighbor bought his house in 1991 for $92,000.
He never refinanced.
He simply paid it off.
Today, his property taxes are about $2,100 a year because he’s owned it for decades.
The exact same house next door just sold for $965,000.
The 31 year old who bought it now pays roughly $10,800 a year in property taxes and nearly $5,000 a month on the mortgage.
Same street.
Same house.
Completely different reality.
We didn’t just price an entire generation out of homeownership.
We priced them out of the future.

You accepting them doing nothing gives them everything they need from you, the voter, with no reason to ever give you anything more, simply because they know your dumb ass will pull the lever for them next time. That’s not politics, that’s unearned servitude based on a flawed premise. I’ve voted Republican all my life, and for the very reason you mentioned, while everything around us continues to get worse at a “manageable” pace (for them). It’s untenable, both in theory and practice. If the gates of Hell have to be opened for us to get meaningful change, then so be it. I’m tired of the boiling pot.

This clip is over a year old, but since it was made I have been refused entry into the U.S. by the Trump administration. I traveled there multiple times under the Biden administration through the Visa Waiver Program using ESTA, which almost every Irish person receives easily barring a criminal record. When I applied for a renewal last summer to visit my friends, I was rejected. I then applied for a tourist visa and attended an embassy interview where an immigration officer read out an SPLC hit piece (an organisation currently under federal criminal prosecution) and asked me if I was an "ethnonationalist" and an "antisemite," then refused my visa. I know multiple other European patriots who have also been banned from the U.S. since 2024 and have not yet spoken about it publicly. Most of them don't even talk about Israel or Jews, so it seems they are banned solely because of their views on immigration.
