@RodelliNFT There aren’t any more samples left for SMU. Their season is over and Miami’s is still going because Miami beat them H2H, therefore Miami is better. There’s no point in being better on a spreadsheet now that we’re in the postseason where it’s win or go home.

SMU was 43 spots higher than Miami on KenPom and favored by 7.5, but it turns out the 1 loss team was 10 points better than the 13 loss team

I do think Akron is a good team and am definitely a believer in analytics, but I do sometimes think we need to dumb it down for things like deciding whether an undefeated team is better than a 5-loss team who they beat

@neojoe77 That’s totally fair. Really the only reason I keep pushing this is that I just think we’ve gone too far when we value analytics over H2H results. I understand there’s a small chance any given result happens once, but all of the metrics are based on small sample size
