In case you’ve seen that tweet about faking a psychiatric condition and immediately getting disability benefits, a little reminder: Right now, it takes 7.5 months (on avg) to get a decision on a new app. If you appeal, it can take years. Around 64% are denied.

In 7 cities (e.g., San Francisco, San Diego, Fort Worth, El Paso) Kia or Hyundai thefts either remained consistent or only increased slightly between 2019 and 2022.

You may have heard that Kia & Hyundai thefts have risen following a TikTok trend last summer. In our latest @USAFacts we combine data from 19 cities nationwide and find that while K&H thefts aren't up everywhere, it's a BIG problem for some cities: usafacts.org/data-projects/…
