Ethereum can operate indefinitely, and remain economically sound, even with very low fee generation. No monolithic chain can credibly say the same. Neither can BTC. Now remind me again: which of these is actually worthy of being classified as a digital commodity that carries monetary premium?

I don't entirely agree: security requires a specific infrastructure that isn't directly related to transactions. Therefore, reducing commission fees doesn't directly impact security effectiveness. However, it's important to always remember that excessively low fees lead to increased turnover, which increases the burden on the infrastructure, requiring higher costs for its maintenance and development.
