This could potentially be abused so hard… Can literally demonetise all your competitors relatively easy with few bots… Be careful and plan accordingly to spread the risk on your channels

Most people think their YouTube title needs to describe their video. But here’s a better way to think about it: Job #1 of a YouTube title: Get people to click Optional jobs: • Call out the right audience • Set expectations for your video

@Dexerto I agree. It should be transparent. People need to see the likes and dislikes, and that was a good feature.

100,000 views in 10 days on YouTube 🔥 This video makes me proud for three reasons: 1. Our baseline views are increasing. We aim to get ~30% of a channel’s subscribers in views at a minimum. This is a sign of a healthy, recurring audience. We’re hitting this for the videos we fully produce. 2. We have to raise our standards soon. 100,000 organic views has always been our checkpoint for “going viral.” It’s time to think bigger and raise the bar for this one. 3. My strategist @KyleAM15 created this thumbnail concept. He used our concept splicing theory and created something original. It’s paying off. He’s just an unhinged kid from Scotland who plays with sheep… and now I’d argue he’s becoming one of the industry’s best strategists that nobody knows about yet. But that’s starting to change (story for another day). I love writing these because it reminds me of how far we’ve come… Just me, Tim, and Asim fumbling our way through getting this off the ground… We had TONS of embarrassing screw ups that dare not ever become public. But we managed to pull through and get results, one by one… Now, we’ve got a fully functioning creative team… AND THEY’RE GETTING REALLY GOOD. Nothing makes me happier than this.

The community tab is the most underused feature on YouTube. I scanned 4 million channels with TubeAI. The ones using it consistently get 20-30% more views. It's free, takes 2 minutes and almost nobody does it. Post a poll before your next upload. YouTube will see the engagement and push your video harder. I started doing this at 10k views. Now I'm at 200k. Use it.

YouTube History fact… YouTube once invested in 100x channels for $1M each to help them produce higher quality content and go all in… The only ones that returned on that investment were SciShow, Crash Course, Philip DeFranco and SourceFed… And currently very few of those 100 channels aside from the ones I just mentioned are still active and thriving today despite a small loan of $1M… YouTube and Google investing in these kinds of initiatives is fairly normal for them. Beyond that you’d be surprised at the number of YouTube channels funded by government grants.

If you wanna improve your YouTube titles, here’s 14 insights that can help with this. 1. Every title has two main parts: the topic and the format. The topic is what generates initial interest, and the format reveals more about the content structure. Make sure both have data to support their viral potential. 2. The title sets expectations for the video. If the video doesn’t deliver what the title promises, viewers will feel let down and might leave quickly after starting your video (the algorithm can take this as a bad signal). 3. If you only come up with the title after the video is done, it might not match the content fully. This can drastically impact your retention. Typically, titles are set before production. 4. The title doesn’t need to cover the whole video; it can just highlight one interesting segment, as long as the rest of the video keeps that same tone. (Example: “Would you rather eat dirt or sand?” while the video contains multiple “would you rather” questions.) 5. People often think thumbnails are the main reason for clicks, but it’s actually the title that drives them to watch. A nice rule of thumb: thumbnail for grabbing attention & title for generating interest. 6. Being mildly vague in your title can be beneficial if the thumbnail provides enough information to still make the viewer curious. 7. Your title may be exciting, but if the views don’t show enough social proof, then it may still fail (e.g., giving “$10M business advice” with only 200 views.) People might doubt your credibility. 8. There’s a bunch of advice on title character length, however, most viewers won’t be too bothered about title length. Title length mainly matters if it gets cut off by having too many characters (50 characters). 9. While full capitalization may have been “in” in the past, it reduces readability. However, this may come at the benefit that the thumbnail unintentionally may have a larger impact as there’ll be less focus on the title’s message. 10. Use consistent styling in your titles. One unique example is to write everything in lowercase. It helps create a recognizable look for your content. 11. Capitalizing one word in your title can help to emphasize it, which is helpful if viewers might interpret your title differently. Typically, you’d capitalize the topic in which they may find interest. 12. Adding words like 'sad story' at the end of the title mainly works if people are looking for an emotional experience. Otherwise, it might just feel like clickbait. 13. A straightforward title usually works better than one with multiple parts. Don’t make viewers work too hard to figure out what the video is about. 14. When testing different titles, give it enough time to see what works. Sometimes it takes a few impressions for people to finally click, so daily changes won’t give you enough data to understand this. Even if you don’t use all of these tips, they’re worth considering when making YouTube titles.
