But it’s not. The Labour Government has BANNED affirming trans people. The NHS now forces trans people to go through the wrong puberty in the hope we become c!s, while having compulsory “Exploratory Therapy” - the Christian Right rebrand of conversion therapy. And when we are STILL trans at the end, stuck in a body that now makes us a target, they walk away. Saying “Oh well, at least no harm was done.” The gay equivalent would be telling a gay man or lesbian woman to try being straight for a few years - just to make sure. Conversion therapy. BREAKING: 2026 Rainbow Map names Spain the safest country in Europe for LGBT, with the UK languishing in 22nd spot behind Estonia.
The UK has now joined Bulgaria, Georgia, Hungary, Russia and Slovakia in having explicit bans or other legal limitations - in our case the UKSC ruling - making legal gender recognition for trans people impossible or redundant. You must be so proud @bphillipsonMP 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈. Link follows.

Before Nigel Farage and Reform UK tell you he is now Prime Minister, note there are 650 MPs in Parliament and 20,000 councillors in the UK.
Today’s results will likely end with Reform UK having 2500-3000/20,000 councillors and still just 8/650 MPs.
GBNews, the Express, Spectator and Mail will tell you he’s about to be handed the keys to No.10. But it’s local elections, they will all be disappointed.

Norfolk is 95% white. Fewer than one in fifteen residents was born outside the UK. Yet this lady thinks immigration is the most important issue facing the country.
She is not describing what she sees. She is describing what GB News, the Daily Mail and FB memes have told her is happening.

Reform UK are battling to win the East of England, a traditional Conservative heartland, in the upcoming local elections. The Telegraph's Political Editor, Tony Diver, was given access to a day on the campaign trail with Robert Jenrick, travelling across Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex. Can the former Conservative MP help turn one of the bluest areas in England teal? 🔗 Click the link below to watch the full youtube video youtu.be/V3Sg9uu3OSU

Genuinely dont know anyone who can lie this much and keep getting away with it.
- said he couldn't do surgeries in Clacton because security concerns, so what did he use the £5m for as it wasn't security?!?
-if If this was for personal security.
Why does he claim his security detail as a parliamentary expense?!?
And why did he take £5million in that case..for what exactly was it "given" ?

Victoria Derbyshire spend 8 minutes taking apart Nigel Farage's £5,000,000 gift
"As you'd expect we asked Reform UK for an interview tonight. One Reform UK press officer asked: with who and to discuss what"
"We said we'd like to talk about the local elections, the detention centres in Green areas, and £5m gift from Christopher Harborne"
"We didn't receive another reply"

Nigel Farage has committed prosecutable election offences with this video under the Representation of the People Act 1983.
The Act prohibits inducing voters through the threat of “temporal injury”, which includes material disadvantage such as the targeted imposition of government burdens.
Threatening to specifically house illegal migrants in a constituency if it does not vote Reform is coercive and constitutes a criminal offence.
Nigel Farage MP@Nigel_Farage
If you vote Reform you will not have an illegal migrant deportation facility in your area. We will hold migrants awaiting deportation in constituencies that vote Green instead. You get what you vote for.

More than 60% of every donation Streeting has received comes from companies with interests in private healthcare.
He used a statutory instrument to give himself power to override NICE - the body that stops the NHS being overcharged by big pharma.
31 MPs from six parties oppose it.
The BMJ calls it "sacrificing population health for corporate wealth."
Is this privatisation by stealth?

Today’s Supreme Court decision effectively guts a key pillar of the Voting Rights Act, freeing state legislatures to gerrymander legislative districts to systematically dilute and weaken the voting power of racial minorities - so long as they do it under the guise of “partisanship” rather than explicit “racial bias.” And it serves as just one more example of how a majority of the current Court seems intent on abandoning its vital role in ensuring equal participation in our democracy and protecting the rights of minority groups against majority overreach.
The good news is that such setbacks can be overcome. But that will only happen if citizens across the country who cherish our democratic ideals continue to mobilize and vote in record numbers - not just in the upcoming midterms or in high profile races, but in every election and every level.

The Health Secretary has taken £372,000 from private health-linked donors since entering parliament. That's at a rate of £10,000 a month since taking office. His biggest donor owns companies that recruit NHS managers AND private health executives.
This week he also gave himself the power to override the independent body that stops the NHS being overcharged for drugs.

Are we witnessing the birth of a cult in British politics?
Last week, we surprisingly witnessed Nigel Farage being challenged on Reform's lies that they would cut taxes.
His response, 'We did cut taxes. We raised them by less than others'. 🤷♂️
On Wednesday, RFK Jr. invented an entirely new form of maths in a Congressional hearing. One which Trump then backed up yesterday.
We implicitly understand that populist leaders fare badly under scrutiny, but this complete suspension of reality is a new, ominous path.
The MAGA base, I think, could be described as a cult at this stage — a very real one; Branch Davidians, Jonestown massacre level cult. It's not a stretch to imagine Trump calling for a mass drinking of Kool-Aid, and most of his members complying.
In the UK, we are at least slightly luckier in the fact that Farage only commands around 23% of the vote share, unlike the 50/50 split in the US.
But make no mistake, there is cult-like behaviour surrounding the Reform UK leader.
Unfortunately, this coincides with a time when, by design or otherwise, our legacy media seem fully unwilling to challenge the torrent of lies that emanate from every Reform UK politician.
Yesterday on LBC, Richard Tice was allowed free rein to avoid explaining his bizarre tax avoidance issues. Our broadcast journalists fail at almost every hurdle when applying scrutiny to Reform.
When Angela Rayner was hounded from her position over a far less serious tax issue, the entire media ecosystem reported on little else for three weeks.
Tice? Nada.
Farage has been asked a few times now about his party's lies around cutting taxes, and every time he tells a reporter that they raised them but less than everyone else.
Firstly, that's just a ludicrous load of hot air and secondly, why are journos not laughing in his face and pushing him harder. CALL HIM OUT.
It feels to me that we're being drip fed a new reality. One in which two plus two can equal five — if you only believe it to be true.
A deliberate Orwell reference, but are we witnessing the death of objective truth?
I'm worried that we are.
Apols for the bleak post this morning. It's a beautiful day, so I'm going for a walk. Happy Friday. 😊

I notice that Jeremy Vine covered my story this morning about the Reform UK prize fix.
He had Anne Widdecombe on and asked her about it in a joking fashion, and Anne was comfortably allowed to bat it away as a conspiracy, despite being shown the picture I found of her and Raymond Dibble together.
I suppose I should be grateful for a name check, he called me 'critics on the internet'. 😂
Surely, that's slightly disparaging to Byline Times, who ran it on their front page for four days.
But it's just another Reform UK day whereby they fix a competition in an election period, and have it laughed off by our media.
I've published the piece as an 𝕏 Article now as well so you tell me. Does this not stink?
