Shifts in immigration rhetoric only matter if they lead to shifts in immigration policy. So far, the Trump administration has done a reasonably good job on immigration. Legal and illegal entries are down, and deportations are coming along. But much more needs to be done.

Sending billions of taxpayer dollars to foreign countries while simultaneously ignoring the fact that most of Appalachia (an entire region of the country) lives in poverty is insane Our own government and FEMA abandoned rural Appalachia (especially the Carolinas) after Hurricane Helene Helene was almost 600 days ago yet bridges, roads, houses, and entire towns are still in ruins. Just piles upon piles of rubble and debris. People went without running water, electricity, or any way out for MONTHS Our own government left them to starve, fend for themselves, and die. Not to mention the hundreds of bodies they left to decay for days/weeks/months instead of recovering them. How do you run out of FEMA funds yet send billions to foreign countries?
