🧑‍🦲Bald people only: Tashkent hosts a very unusual party A video from a banquet went viral after dozens of bald men gathered around one table. Guests joked that the reflection from their heads temporarily “blocked out the sun” over Tashkent. Possibly the most reflective party of the year 😂

@LauraLoomer You’re usually direct when you attack people, but with Trump you turn passive-aggressive and scapegoat random people for his proud peace deal. Predictable bottom scraping from you Larry.

It’s going to be so funny when people fall for this next Iran “deal” and then Iran carries out another attack. Except it won’t be funny, because innocent people will die in the name of Islam. You cannot trust the word of an Islamic country. Their concept of a truce is a Hudna and it’s only for the purpose of rebuilding strength. Too many people who work for Trump were former Qatari lobbyists, so they aren’t going to tell him the truth about Hudnas.

Every time Frantzman lists the old regime’s crimes, it instantly reminds us of the new one. The same side that massacred minorities and spent years allied with ISIS, facilitating the slavery of thousands of Yazidi women, is now continuing Baghdadi’s legacy in a new suit.

If you replace every mention of “Assad” in Frantzman’s thread with “Jolani”, the post still reads perfectly. Both Assad and Jolani were brutal monsters that starved, shelled, gassed, beheaded, and displaced civilians, and both used minorities for their own cynical agendas.
Seth Frantzman@sfrantzman

Assad believed HTS could be corralled in Idlib and that Idlib would be a “dumping ground” for Syrian rebels who had been bussed there; the goal was to deport opposition Syrians to Idlib with hopes they would stay there or go to Turkey or Europe. The Assad regime’s goal was always to divide and conquer the country, playing off groups against eachother and then selling them out one by one or massacring them. For the regime, all the other groups were useful to a point; this included HTS and the YPG but also it felt the rebels were convenient as long as they were divided; it also thought ISIS was fine and had even released extremists ;before the war began in 2012 it had even funneled extremists down the Euphrates River valley into Iraq. The regime was evil. It also sought to exploit the Christian, Alawite and Druze minority. It should be recalled that it likely allowed the ISIS attack on Suwayda in 2018 to send a message to the Druze as the regime was returning to southern Syria. The regime had no ideology except being cynical. Look how it would flirt with Israel at times. It exploited the Kurds also. It let the Captagon trade grow, let the Iranians run wild, sold out to everyone, let Wagner mercenaries massacre people; until the regime collapsed and it ran away like a thief in the night as if it had never existed.

@hey_itsmyturn Trump could get fooled by a fart in the wind, so there's no point speculating on the merits of who Trump talks with as it wouldn't make the slightest difference.

So let me get this straight: We entered a war supposedly to help the Iranian people and stop the regime’s nuclear ambitions, only for Iranians to end up in an even worse position… and now we may be heading toward a deal that is worse than Obama’s JCPOA? What exactly was the point?

People are going to be jolted when they realize there’s no such thing as a peace deal with a Muslim country. Islamic countries, especially the Islamic Republic of Iran, don’t believe in peace, because Islam is inherently violent and focuses on conquering and killing all non Muslims. No peace deal with any Muslim country will ever be fruitful long term because Islam is inherently violent. Anyone who says otherwise has no concept of Islam. This is simply a fact.

Imagine having a legacy built on plagiarism lawsuits and begging for breadcrumbs to run a poor quality magazine, yet still trying to lecture people on self-reliance. Sohrab Ahmari can’t even run a publication without Soros charity, yet berates others on needing help. Clown.

@SohrabAhmari Telling others to "go it alone" while your flagship magazine is funded by George Soros’s Open Society Foundations is peak irony. Maybe lectures on self-reliance would land better if your own existence wasn't funded by the very progressive patronage you claim to oppose.

@sfrantzman @vvanwilgenburg Not just unlikely, but inevitable. This deal will embolden Iran. Expect them to go all-in on wiping out the Kurdish opposition groups harder and bloodier than ever before. They'll also finish off their enemies within Iran long before the next phase of 'negotations' even begins.

@ProfCheekhaY @eyesore35 @mdubowitz Yes, as a matter of fact, I think I do. He's a senator that has to deal with a wide range of policy issues. I've focused exclusively on the Military option my entire career. Multiple degrees, experience, training, etc. I understand war better than Senator Graham.

If this is true — and it’s a big if that President Trump would accept it — then the administration has surrendered at the negotiating table what America and Israel won on the military and economic battlefields.

@eyesore35 @mdubowitz Lindsey Graham doesn't make the decision. Only Trump does. And Graham isn't even one of his advisors. Trump understands prioritization. He knows he must finish Iran first before anything else.

The Baluch people deserve freedom, dignity and self-determination. @BaluchistanMFA The IRGC regime has oppressed minorities in Iran for decades with terror, executions and repression. A democratic future for Iran can only come when all nations inside Iran — Baluch, Kurds, Azeris, Arabs, Persians and others — have equal rights, regional autonomy and freedom. The world must stop ignoring the suffering in Sistan and Baluchestan. Freedom cannot be crushed forever.
