Just imagine if these rags led with headlines like: • OIL GIANTS BANK RECORD PROFITS WHILE BRITAIN FREEZES • SUPERMARKETS RAMP UP PRICES AS EXECUTIVES POCKET MILLIONS • BILLIONAIRES BUY UP HOMES — FAMILIES PRICED OUT • BOSSES CASH IN WHILE WORKERS SKIP MEALS A girl can dream…

March 16 has become a pretty legendary date around here ! On this day in 1999 , I got my first call to photograph Bob Dylan . Later that same afternoon , the phone rang again and I got my first offer to photograph Bruce Springsteen . Come on !! Fast forward a couple years and I received a call to photograph Tom Petty , and my Johnny Cash Solitary Man Album Cover as well as Willie Nelson’s Milk Cow Blues Cover came out around March 16 . And on a more personal note , today also marks 59 years since Maria’s parents immigrated to the United States from Cuba — something worth celebrating all on its own ! March 16 … it just keeps showing up . Let’s see what it brings this year ! I’ll have my ringer on ✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼 You can purchase these photos and more online and in person at @Transparent_AP ⭐️

Train journeys make a good framing device for 60s British Cinema (& British decline): 1959 - Room at the Top, Lampton embraces class social mobility 1963 - Billy Liar, Julie Christie goes to swinging London alone 1971 - Get Carter, Carter's doomed return to the depressed North
Train Songs Central@trainsongsbook

"Is there a Mr Carter in the room?" On this day in 1971 the film 'Get Carter' (featuring the best train song instrumental of all time in the form of 'Main Theme - Carter Takes A Train' by Roy Budd) went on general release in the UK.

Alderley Edge School for Girls in my constituency has announced its closure blaming increased costs - fundamentally Labour’s VAT on school fees. Here I am asking what the government is going to do to minimise the disruption to these pupils’ education as this school closure is due to their vindictive, class warfare policies.

I’m so confused by Cilla Black. Why was she such a massive celebrity? She’s like the worst chorus singer at a regional production of Pingu The Musical
