It is time to rally around the family, for Fako was a husband, a father, a brother...Let us put in our prayers those he left behind who depended in so many ways on him.

On behalf of all members of our gallant Basotho Action Party I express our deepest sorrow for the untimely demise of former MP comrade Moshoeshoe Fako. Cde Fako fought in the trenches with us in the struggle to assert democracy within the ABC.

This is not the time to speculate on the circumstances of his unfortunate demise. It is the time for deep reflection on the sad culture of violence devouring lives of our people and to redouble our commitment to rid the scourge from our society.

Although he left BAP to explore opportunities elsewhere we can never forget his emmense contributions to our gallant movement. His name will ever remain indelibly tall among its founders.

Today BAP is known by the electorate in all corners of our largely inaccessible country courtsey to selfless dedication of men and women of Cde Fako's commitment.

He was a founder member of the BAP and part of its core leadership. As we set forth to establish BAP's footprint far-flung crevices of Lesotho I often travelled with him.
