Turns out those complaining about "the vegetable lobby" are just angry with...the public.
Developers have failed to build affordable homes.

#r4today packham is right. Those who speak for nature have not done enough and need to up their game. As an academic I collectively feel my own failure in such respects. However using a fear factor narrative is not likely to work as crisis is overused .

#r4today Need to engage with publics and others on their priorities and connect our nature narrative within those rather than operate in our own silo and echo chamber. That requires working outside our jargon and usual suspects .

Watching Labour MPs take a wrecking ball to nature makes me so angry & so sad. Their action tonight voting down amendments to the #Planning bill intended to protect wildlife & habitats from destruction is so reckless & so counterproductive. People didn’t vote Labour for this 👇

⚠️Planning bill update ⚠️ as expected Labour was whipped into voting down every amendment that would protect nature from this bill. They rejected the most basic fluffing protections for endangered species. They even rejected saving chalk streams! Now it goes back to the Lords

The UK *helped design* this 'TFFF' fund, designed to stop deforestation, and supposedly 'continues to back the fund' (in theory). But now isn't putting any money into it 🤯
