@DrPareto2025 @m_janelee It would be interesting to see how they stuff the animals though.
English

@m_janelee Ever been to a taxonomy conference? Three days of hard drinking and arguing about the names of crap no one cares about.
English

@MaccaPolitical Not bad but I’d probably rank below a nice fresh Jazz or Sundowner

@Prof_IanD If they have 10% of the flavour of a Cox's Orange grown in NZ or Pommyland, we will be doing well. Oz isnt known for crisp, tangy, flavourful apples.

@marklewismd @ANZUPtrials specifically described Gr2 fatigue in #ENZAMET even knowing that it might make the toxicity appear worse than other agents.
Grade 2 is "limiting instrumental ADL" ie a significant impact on independence. We cannot continue to minimise these things as "manageable."
English

@Prof_IanD One of the biggest mistakes of my fellowship was describing a patient as “only” having grade 2 neuropathy
My attending — rightly — admonished me to never minimize a toxicity I wouldn’t be willing to endure myself
English

Oh, nicely done Mark.

@ChristosArgyrop What, no kale?
But I bet your 5G reception is now fantastic!

Stopped at CVS to buy some milk, the floor was wet, I was distracted by a chemtrail that appeared through the window, I slipped and fell on a Nuvaxovid vaccine and this is how I was #JabbedSuddenly
English

@DrAndrewLoblaw That means we need to explain to them why we ourselves have equipoise. And if we don’t have it then they made the right decision not to be randomised, and we shouldn’t be doing the trial. @kamrava_md
English

It’s my experience that if a patient can choose either treatment off protocol they will rarely consent to randomization.

(PRIMARY2 Trial) 🚨 @ButeauJames: PSMA-11 PET scan after an equivocal mpMRI (PI-RADS 2/3) cuts TP prostate biopsies by 50%. By using PRIMARY score, avoiding biopsies for PSMA-ve men and only targeted biopsies for PSMA-positive men—was non-inferior🔬👨⚕️ #ProstateCancer #EAU26 #pcsm

Proud moment and HUGE news from #EAU26: #PRIMARY2 shows PSMA PET/CT can safely halve prostate biopsies in men with equivocal MRI, avoiding biopsy in 49% without missing cancer. uroweb.org/news/scan-that…

@A_MacLullich Absolutely agree. Same for “not coping” and “functional decline” - those are outcomes, not diagnoses.
English

Sedated for "agitation." Pelvic fracture found 2 days later.
The agitation was pain. It very often is, especially in surgical patients.
When someone is agitated & delirious, the first question isn't "what do we give them?" - It's "what's causing this?"
Pain. Infection. Urinary retention. Constipation. Hypoxia. The list of treatable causes is long.
↳ A systematic head to toe approach is always needed when evaluating the possible triggers.

@MerriamWebster Are we in agreement that “agreeance” is an egregious word, and totally unnecessary because there is a perfectly good existing alternative; or are we in disagreeance?
