Live Look at Tech / AI / LLM / Bubble Stonks Longs (Duke Bros) selling into a bidless market just like this scene at the old NYBOT when the market realized that the hype on FCOJ was nonsense. I just did a tally and in Q4 the Mag 9, top 10 (non mag 9) bubble stocks, and total crypto market have seen almost $5 trillion in collateral destruction ALONE. For perspective, that is 16% of US GDP, 21% of US money supply, 5% of Global GDP, and 4% of global M2. BoJ hiking on OpEx Friday right before Xmas with this going on is something the Winthorpe and Valentine could appreciate.

This is being taught as best practice! I have seen so many "here's my 18-20 step outreach framework that works 70% of the time" courses, webinars, social posts. It's kind of gross. Email, then call, don't leave a message, go on linkedIn profile. Email again, then friend on LinkedIn etc. etc. You get the picture. The worst is when they try to automate it, literally is the most transparent thing. Let's just say... my spam button is being used a LOT more today rather than the "Unsubscribe".

A great PM also has a knack for communicating why the product makes users lives better or the problem it solves. I know that is technically a marketing function, but it's 100 times more effective if the person overseeing how the thing people buy is being built can funnel that story. IMO that is what is missing in a lot of the crypto space. Once you get past the hype marketing, where's the mission, where's the future they envision, where is the tangible use today? If you have someone at the head of product that needs to balance creation and utility to customers, you would probably get better outcomes and more normie adoption....

- early stage companies - lack of knowledge of the product management function - highly technical products requiring engineering expertise (roles often are hidden under other titles) - pieces of the role are hiding in growth and strategy instead of a product title - many companies are pre PMF, pre product and a PM doesn’t make sense There are many great ex product managers who have transitioned to other titles but still function as PMs —> driving roadmap, providing customer feedback, architecting growth loops, etc. I transitioned over to product marketing because it had many of the things I already did as a PM and much more crypto opportunity

This is what I hate about Twitter. Some anon influencer completely misreads the exact brand tweet he screenshotted... and the brand clarifies he's dead wrong, which the influencer publicly admits... but then leaves the inflammatory tweet up. Thirsty dopamine influencer behavior.
