Umpires rules that Jose Caballero intentionally dropped a ball that was hit behind his head. Another instance of umpires inserting themselves into the game to make a subjective decision due to Caballero’s reputation.

Once Lombard is summoned to the Bronx, he's the SS. Cabby can bounce around to 5 positions in a pinch. Volpe is limited to 1 position.
More and more, feeling like the Yanks will trade Volpe.

@Yankees @StarrCompanies Consistency. Changing the lineup every day ruins the chemistry. Cabby was fine until Volpe returned. Playing everywhere, batting all over the lineup. Jeter batted first, period, not 1st today, off 2mrw, then 5th and playing LF, etc. impossible to get any rhythm with this lunacy.
