@_Hazardous_Wolf How? You’re complaining about quality of care and affordability when that wasn’t even the issue it was designed to address. Medicaid is a safety net. It sucks but the entire purpose is that people can focus money in other areas without neglecting health.

Ironically, the ACA has only made healthcare less affordable for many people while lowering the quality of care they get, but that's what happens when government socializes medicine and makes it harder for smaller healthcare providers to offer competitive services at better rates

The day the Affordable Care Act passed was one of my proudest moments as president, because it meant that millions of Americans would have access to health care, some for the first time. The ACA also prevented insurance companies from denying people with pre-existing conditions coverage, allowed young people under the age of 26 to remain on their parents’ plan, expanded Medicaid, and so much more. But the ACA was always meant to be a first step. We still have to do more to expand access and make health care more affordable for everyone.

@ryans_dad @TheGrandZero wtf is this arguement The solution isn’t stealing wealth for one direction, it’s a combination of it all. VAT taxes, reducing current tax breaks, increase higher income tax rates/corporate tax rate. Even by a few percent and that’s in total around $10+ Trillion in 10 years

That's why Germany axed their nuclear, only for green energy to fall well short, then had to rely heavily on Russian LNG, only to start up coal plants. Right? My point is the mining, processing, and manufacturing of "green" products is more polluting.

If you want to bring shipbuilding to the U.S. at the scale of China or South Korea or even Japan its not only going to take massive capital investment, but you also have to fundamentally change the way these businesses operate. You have to change the workforce. You have to change transportation. Change neighborhoods. Change waterfronts. This isn't a money problem, it is whole of system problem.
