@pebbldaddy @PrimeFrend10 @FplPing @OfficialFPL Going by that logic Senesi's touch isn't a defensive touch either. I'm sure given an option he would have intended to head it out instead of flicking it on the back post to his defensive partner 2 yards from goal. Defensive touch doesn't mean being successful with it.

@FPL_Nqth @FPLThorpey @OfficialFPL It deflected off an opponent player and not wind. Senesi tried to head the ball away. That is defensive touch no 1. Then it hits Hill. That is defensive touch number 2. It can't be an assist in real or FPL.

No better way to say I have captained Bruno. I think this is the 1st time they have openly violated their own rules. 2 circumstances in which Bruno gets the assist for this: 1. If the 'deflected pass' is a deflection of grass/wind instead of Senesi. 2. If Hill signed for United.

SCOUT: After review, the assist for Manchester United's second goal is awarded to Bruno Fernandes. His deflected pass led to the own goal from James Hill. There was no touch from Harry Maguire before the own goal.

@OfficialFPL It didn't 'deflect' off grass or wind, did it? It deflected off an opponent player. His name is Marcos Senesi. Hill's is 2nd defensive touch before it goes in. So it can't be an assist whatsoever unless you are purposefully bending rules.

@Maizuna147139 @FPLReaction They won't. They have said 'deflected pass'. Like it deflected off wind or grass instead of Senesi. Clearly they purposefully intended to give it to Bruno taking note of the violation of actual rule.

@JustAnobody50 @Matthew33884235 @OfficialFPL That is pure non-sense. It is clear violation of their own rule. Two defensive touches can't be a assist in real and isn't an assist in FPL. This has never happened before. It didn't deflect off grass. It deflected off an opponent player.

@JustAnobody50 @OfficialFPL 2nd touch is from the scorer and it goes in as an own goal. Only person who can get an assist here is Senesi. Very simple.

@Projwal_D @OfficialFPL It's an interesting one. The rule is that 2 touches from the defence negates the assist. But it means 2 touches AND then the goal scorer. So 3 touches. In this case, the 2nd defender is the goal scorer. So it can be seen as 1 touch on the defense. I have no idea what they'll do.
