would 100% support a ban on the infinite scroll. I hope to see it in my lifetime. We live in a world where we are convincing people they have a medical issue becuase they are distracted by software produced by the worlds best software develoers and neuroscientists to hack the dopimane reward system in their briain. Then told they need medication to fix it. Utter madness.

5 years ago this NFT cost $69 million, today it's worth less than $100 (if that).

@frenbilt buying a house right now just seems such a stupid decision. There is going to be a mass sale over the nest 10 years as boomers enter there 70's and 80's.

I’m almost 30, top 10% of American earners my age, I can’t afford a house - which means that the other 90% can’t either. Who are buying all of these houses?

@recouso similar in the UK on a Sunday. I am in disbelief it has not been abolished, especially since the state of the economy.

Okay guys, had a few cultural shocks in Spain: > Go to the gym, opens 10am on a Sunday > Go to work from a coworking, closed > Go to a coffee shop, no wifi Absolutely unthinkable in a barely productive economy like the US, yet alone UAE. Europe is a daylight museum.

@1ssve Have actually been through this very perdicament in my early 20's. days turn into weeks, that turn into months that turn into years. Once the numbness of the shock of what happens to you wears off you then think shit I havent made any advancements in 2 years.

everyone talks about how all the frontier labs are eating companies left and right with new features. but i swear i've stopped using at least a dozen random SaaS tools because @cloudflare has quietly shipped entire replacements for them.

@heavensbvnny you can reframe ADHD by saying by telling yourself you are able to achieve superhuman focus if you just struggle through the first 15 mins of a task

Friendly reminder that if you have ADHD and you're feeling incredibly overwhelmed and behind on work, trying to just "force" yourself to sit down and do it will absolutely not work. You will end up just sitting there doing nothing. Take the time to reduce the overwhelm first.

Rory Sutherland made a sharp observation about why so many smart people struggle with real life decisions. On Andrew Gold’s Heretics podcast, he blamed part of it on our education system. From school exams to intelligence tests, we’re trained on problems that have one clear right answer and all the information neatly provided (like the classic “two buses leave the station” math problem). But real-world choices — who to marry, where to live, what career to pursue, even what sofa to buy — are nothing like that. Information is incomplete, messy, sometimes deliberately misleading, and there’s rarely a single “optimal” answer. Some of the smartest people he knows (including his astrophysicist brother) get paralyzed in places like IKEA because there’s no algorithm to optimize the decision. This matters because we’re educating people to excel at artificial problems while leaving them unprepared for the ambiguous, high-stakes decisions that actually shape their lives. This one landed hard. I’ve caught myself overthinking simple choices because I was waiting for that perfect, single right answer that school trained me to look for. Real life is rarely that clean. This one landed hard. I’ve caught myself overthinking simple choices because I was waiting for that perfect, single right answer that school trained me to look for. Real life is rarely that clean. What’s a decision you’ve struggled with because there was no clear “right” answer?

I should probably just ask grok this - but I have too many chads following me not to ask the timeline. Should I go on a 20,000 step walk fasted, or should I eat a high protein breakfast and then go on the walk. I ask this because walking after a meal is peak.
