Overtrading doesn’t usually start with a setup. It starts with a feeling. The need to do something. To stay active. To not “miss out.” That phase shows up early for a lot of traders. When results are slow, activity goes up not because opportunities are there, but because patience isn’t. It feels like effort. But most of the time, it’s impatience. Trades get taken without full confirmation. Decisions get rushed. And discipline slowly slips. The shift usually comes later. When waiting stops feeling like missing out and starts feeling like part of the job. Fewer trades. Cleaner decisions. That’s when consistency begins to show.
