Today, Prosecutor General @angeliquehab received Mr. Serge Brammertz, Chief Prosecutor of the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (IRMCT). Their discussions focused on strengthening the ongoing cooperation between NPPA and the Mechanism.

The training aims to strengthen participants’ leadership and change management capacities, enhance strategic decision-making and teamwork, and support the effective delivery of justice.

From 19–21 May 2026, NPPA, in partnership with @EUinRW and @RMI_Rwanda, is conducting a three-day training for Chief Prosecutors and Directors of NPPA Departments on Leadership and Change Management.

In her opening remarks, the Prosecutor General emphasized that drug-related crimes and human trafficking threaten public safety, human rights, and the rule of law, urging participants to fully engage in the training to strengthen their skills in handling such cases effectively.

The training, organized by NPPA in partnership with @EUinRW, brought together 30 participants, including 22 prosecutors, 5 investigators, and 3 police officers, to strengthen their capacity to effectively handle drug-related crimes and human trafficking cases.

Today, Prosecutor General @angeliquehab officially opened a three-day training for prosecutors, investigators, and police officers on techniques for drug crime evidence gathering, chain of custody, and human trafficking investigations.

The Annual General Meeting of the Eastern Africa Association of Prosecutors (EAAP), currently taking place in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, has resolved that Rwanda will host the Association’s Annual General Meeting in 2027.

During the Executive Committee meeting held on the opening day, the Prosecutor General @angeliquehab was elected as Vice President of Eastern Africa Association of Prosecutors (EAAP) for the second time.

The conference was convened under the theme “Leveraging Technology in Combating Wildlife and Transnational Organised Crime” and brought together national prosecution authorities from across the East African Community.

The Prosecutor General, @angeliquehab, attended the 11th Annual General Meeting and Conference of the Eastern Africa Association of Prosecutors (EAAP), held from 4–6 May 2026 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Min. @eugirashebuja1 received Olivier Christen, France’s National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor. They discussed strengthening judicial cooperation and collaboration on shared priorities, including efforts to address international crimes, notably the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

Le Ministre de l’Unité nationale et de l’Engagement civique @DrDamascene a reçu aujourd’hui une délégation française conduite par le Procureur de la République antiterroriste, Olivier Christen. Leurs échanges ont porté sur les attributions ministérielles en rapport avec la préservation de la mémoire du génocide commis contre les Tutsi et la coopération entre les deux institutions pour l’accès à la justice. --- The Minister of National Unity and Civic Engagement @DrDamascene today received a French delegation led by the National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor, Olivier Christen. Their discussions focused on the Ministry’s mandate related to the preservation of the memory of the Genocide against the Tutsi, as well as cooperation between the two institutions in facilitating access to justice.

Lors de sa visite hier, le procureur national antiterroriste de la France, Olivier Christen, a rendu hommage aux victimes du Génocide perpétré contre les Tutsis.

Leurs échanges ont porté sur le renforcement de la coopération existante entre l'Organe national de poursuite judiciaire (ONPJ) et le Parquet national antiterroriste (PNAT), surtout la poursuite des crimes internationaux, incluant le génocide perpétré contre les Tutsi en 1994.

Aujourd’hui, la Procureure générale du Rwanda @angeliquehab a reçu Monsieur Olivier Christen, Procureur national antiterroriste de la République française.
