When I started running camps in the summer of 2003 I knew what I wanted to do with my life was coach wrestling….  I excelled as a competitor but I always felt like I could give more as a coach, people always said I had a special ability to pass on information to others.  When Max pitched me and Coach Mesenbrink on starting AWA in 2011 I was sold.  Coaching kids over the last 13 years has been such an amazing experience.  I always appreciated that wrestling gave me the ability to believe in myself and now I get to pass that same experience on to so many athletes.  Lastly a big thanks to Max and John for getting AWA rolling, all of the other incredible managers and coaches at AWA whose efforts make us all look better, all of the parents who have entrusted us with their kids development both technically and as people, and of course thank you to all of the amazing athletes that I have been able to coach over the years, your hard work and dedication has made it such a joy to be your coach.  Very honored to be named the 2024 USAW Developmental coach of the year.
