Such actions can easily mislead the public, cause malicious defamation, and severely damage an artist’s image, infringing on their portrait rights and reputation while also creating unnecessary public controversy. According to relevant laws, individuals have the legal right to their likeness. “Recognizability” does not require an exact match—if the general public or a specific group can identify a person from AI-generated content, it can already constitute unauthorized use of their likeness. Under amendments to Korean civil law recognizing the “right of publicity,” an artist’s face, name, and voice are considered assets with economic value. Any unauthorized use of these elements—such as creating AI-generated videos, attracting traffic, or producing merchandise—constitutes a clear infringement of these rights. Any AI-generated content that is created or shared without authorization, especially if it distorts, misrepresents, or misleads the public, constitutes a serious violation of SUNGHOON’s portrait rights and reputation. We firmly oppose all unauthorized use of SUNGHOON’s likeness for AI content generation, model training, or distribution. Therefore, we hereby request: • Immediately cease all infringing activities Do not use SUNGHOON’s photos, videos, or any related materials for AI creation, synthesis, or model training in any form. All existing infringing materials must be deleted, and any actions that may harm SUNGHOON’s rights and reputation must stop immediately. • Reject and stop the spread of infringing content We urge fans and the public to stay vigilant—do not watch, engage with, or share any AI-generated content that may be infringing. Refuse to give such content attention and cut off its spread at the source. • Actively report violations If you encounter such content on social media platforms, please report it through official channels. We recommend selecting reasons such as “violation of portrait rights” or “false/misleading content” to help platforms take responsibility and remove infringing materials.
