@_RobbieMoore we need #Evusheld not a meaningless memorial stone in the park when it’s too late. Please speak up and get @SteveBarclay to buy this life saving drug. It is still ‘during’ the pandemic! And we are not supported!

@wesstreeting @bbcquestiontime it isn’t that hard to be coughed on or sneezed on in a crowded public place. Why are surgical masks being given out to students and staff? Is there going to be a spitting contest? At least the staff need FFP3 masks.
Dr Ali G (🦋 @dralig.bsky.social)@AlisonGeorge10

@wesstreeting said on @GMB y’day morning that you COULD NOT catch #Meningitis by sitting near an infected person. He doubled down on this misinformation last night on @bbcquestiontime by telling Fiona Bruce you’d have to be coughed or sneezed on to catch it. @susannareid100 1/

This is a serious and unusual cluster that authorities are responding to quickly. The absolute risk remains low to people who have not had very close contact with anyone in the affected community. Thanks to Prof. @andrewleedr Awareness can help. 🙏Please share this thread! 9/

The @covidinquiryuk has acknowledged airborne transmission was not properly considered early on. We focused on surfaces. We overlooked the air. As infections spread through the air, indoor air quality is fundamental to health. This must now be reflected in NHS PPE guidance.

Back in 2024, I posted regular clips whilst the COVID Inquiry was hearing evidence for Module 3 (Impact of healthcare). One particular testimony was so shocking that my thread of clips went viral, soaring to over a MILLION views ⬇️ The Module 3 report is being released TODAY.

COVID INQUIRY I’ve posted a number of tweets from the Inquiry hearing on 16 Sept. This was the day that Dr Lisa Ritchie took the stand. She chaired the IPC Cell which wrote the Covid infection control guidance for UK hospitals. I’ve collated all the tweets in this thread 🧵

Just as I hit ‘send’ on this ⬇️ post, my X account got locked. Thankfully I was able to unlock it & send the post, but now a label has been added to my account & my posts will be SUPPRESSED. This happened just half an hour before the Covid inquiry module 3 report is released 🤔

It worries me to see these students & the healthcare workers administering the MenB vaccine wearing surgical masks, instead of FFP masks. Surgical masks are better than nothing, but if there’s a possibility of AIRBORNE transmission, then they really should be given FFP masks.
Department of Health and Social Care@DHSCgovuk

Our targeted vaccination programme is underway in response to the meningitis outbreak in Kent. Eligible students will have received an invite. Hear from those who took up the offer straight away 👇 More info on the outbreak: ukhsa.blog.gov.uk/2026/03/18/men…

Now this is better! A proper 3M FFP2 headband respirator being worn correctly. Straps positioned correctly. This person is far better protected than those choosing to wear surgical masks. I'm glad some people have found out for themselves what the authorities failed to tell them.

With Module 3 of the UK COVID Inquiry released today serious questions are being raised. Safe Air Schools expert, @jljcolorado - one of the scientists behind global recognition of airborne COVID‑19 spread - has long called for schools & public buildings to reflect the evidence.

@SkyNews Perhap unions @unisontheunion @TheBMA could tell NHS staff not to ridicule clinically vulnerable patients and their families who wear FFP3 masks to appointments in an effort to avoid infection, seeing as washing your hands isn’t so effective against airborne disease & IPC is 0
