Long read: Brilliant questioning by @miketaylorsport who didn’t pull any punches! …. however this is what I took from it: Firstly, Matt Jackson IMO didn’t cover himself in glory. The terminology used throughout by both which was a theme ‘bigger clubs’ - ‘big clubs’ referring to our supposed competitors is completely negative and tells you exactly what they think of this club and the culture that seeps through from those at the top down. Jeff on signings: ‘There is no room for mistakes in the transfer market’ then admitting ‘Players brought in haven’t been good enough’ then continued that we sold our key players with Matt jumping in with that the strategy is to: ‘tap into markets where others aren’t looking’…. I wonder why ffs. Matt Jackson continued in ‘Not all players necessarily want to play for Wolverhampton Wanderers’. No guys - not if you are the pair selling our club to them in this way as a completely unattractive proposition. Which led me back in my mind to the ‘ask Wolves’ interview where Matt Wild rocked up in his dog-walking sambas to show a prospective player around the club. These people are leading our club FFS! Think and behave SMALL - You are SMALL. Jeff stated there are ‘8-10 clubs ‘like us’ ‘smaller clubs with no or little spending power’. This is why we can’t and never will compete with this so called conglomerate at the helm. The defeatist attitude and talking ourselves down was evident throughout the dialogue. Jeff also stated at one point: ‘I’m not an expert of football’ that much is true Jeff, I concur. The self-sustainable model is a ‘Misconception from fans’ basically questioning our intelligence despite several times that this has been reported and Jeff has been directly quoted. Jeff went on ‘After 3 or 4 years all owners are ambitious at the start’ and ‘Before 2016 Wolves weren’t recognised as a Premier League Club’. Come May Jeff - we won’t be! So in essence, we need to be grateful for what we had - and not where we are going. WOW. Denied the compete with Man City comments as ‘misconstrued’ - no Jeff you got caught out - we all saw the sound bite. Jeff continued ‘Wolves are one of the biggest clubs in China and everybody knows who I am and my role at Wolves’. Which underpins my point that these charlatans are still hanging on in a huge vanity project. When the subject turned to Esports …. ‘Esports is separate from Wolves and not linked directly. No money from Wolves to Esports and Esports to Wolves - but they share the same badge’. So the only winner there is the ‘ESports’ brand - no benefit to the club clearly - just our badge and IP being nicked for their conceited project along with jumping on the back of the social media platforms of the football club. As expected, It was typical politician answers throughout and despite Mikes persistence - this interview hasn’t left me any more comfortable with our custodians and their knowledge and strategy. They are planning clearly for next season and will rely heavily on the parachute payments which is evident …and that will save us IMO for that season but it’s beyond that I genuinely worry. Jeff also stated on relegation that jobs would NOT be lost - bookmark that quote for May as historically we know this is not the case and we certainly aren’t in any stronger position right now than we were under previous custodians. They clearly do NOT know the true cost of relegation….. And finally I give you …. Jeff ‘The relationship with fans is not that bad’ Please Jeff - READ THE ROOM. His closing statement left me with a warm glow inside, he ‘hopes we can be more happy’ Listen for yourselves guys - this is just my take. With this as our leadership and these as the answers - we are doomed. Well done @BBCRadioWM for getting the interview! We won’t hear from Shi and Co for a very long time now.

@Wolves1877T So basically Jeff is totally sleepwalking the club into relegation and ruin , his position is untenable, anyone else in any other walk of life would loose there job for the same lack of ability to do his job It will never change until he is gone !
