Providence Schools Community Advisory Boards

Tonight our new CAB members met their colleagues and school-based teams and had a crash course in the @RIDeptEd school improvement timeline. @pvdschools is grateful for their time and dedication to support Providence students to succeed.

Members of the @pvdschools Secondary Network (@Kevin_Gallick, @YinkaAlege) met with the High School CAB to introduce new school level supports. CAB members broke into subcommitees to generate feedback & ideas w/ principals. Thank you everyone for joining!

Over the last two weeks, CAB members participated in virtual check ins w/ principals and members of the new network teams to hear about school-based initiatives planned for the upcoming academic year. Thank you to all the school leaders & CAB members for making time to say hello.

Last night, @DrBarbaraMullen facilitated the first session of a two-part equity workshop series for CAB members. Together, CABs are collaborating w/ the district & each other to consider ways in which their roles as community partners can support equity-focused school cultures.
