@GeriEllenMay Also I feel like he’s not really on the pulse with the country. Yeah Trump is bad but every week a question as to why Starmer doesn’t mouth at him like come on mate !

@ProvincialSage I think Ed Davey is the problem but for different reasons. I appreciate he’s in opposition but his constant and often ill informed, negative carping about the PM is unworthy. I used to be an associate Lib Dem member but won’t vote for them again whilst he is leader.

@ProvincialSage @HeelTrainerJade @Sargon_of_Akkad +7% from nowhere. We're here to stay. The more voters engage and pay attention the more we will grow. The biased media is desperate to bury us, they failed. Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

Carl Benjamin AKA Sargon of Akkad said that he believed Restore's internal polling in Makerfield and that they were easily on 20% of the vote. They won a paltry 7%. Someone is lying.

A few people angry replies so I’ll lay out my position: The best way to deal with this problem is to treat the gangs as they are: an extremely organised and practiced ethnic criminal mafia operating on a national scale, not ‘anti jihadism’ laying the blame solely on Islam
UnHerd@unherd

‘By framing the grooming gangs issue as a civilisational conflict, Rupert Lowe’s new report mistakes the nature of what it is describing, making it harder to prevent.’ Read @aswren 👇 buff.ly/pqMkbso

Labour gets exposed for covering up the worst mass rape of white working class girls in human history and less than a week later, they get over 50% of the vote in a 97% white working class area… Nuke the Yookay.

@RabbidTheNabb1t Maybe (for my sins) I’m so terminally online I saw the whole Rupert Lowe saga from him being boosted by Elon to the split with Nigel. And the nastiness was just something I couldn’t stomach even when I knew it was likely going to crash and burn anyway

@ProvincialSage I'm glad you hate restore so much. Just because they're still irrelevant, they deserve just as much, if not more hate than reform. Many leftists are too busy only focusing on reform!

@benwansell Even without Burnham I saw a hung parliament more likely. Now I’m not sure Nigel even has the fight for the next 2 years of more scrutiny

Increasingly likely we won’t see PM Nigel Farage. That was a poor result for Reform in Makerfield. And a Tory win in Aberdeen South on top.

A point here also, in a different way, learnt by Labour in the last year: liberal England is a thing, including in Red Wall seats - it doesn’t just live in Hackney. If your entire modus operandi is trolling those voters they will find a way to punch you in the nose.

1000%. The Tommy Robinson lot, the nastiness from Restore Rupert Lowe Zia Yusuf Nigel Farage seriously puts people off. But because these lot are in their own bubble they think they are the sole arbiters of Real Britain. Sorry but no thanks.

@ThatTimWalker Stuff like public opinion and political reality genuinely doesn’t seem to be something Starmer processes like other normal people. He’s like a partner that you break up with in the morning and yet he still comes back after work like nothing happened ready for some dinner

The dignified and gracious thing for Starmer to do now would be to resign and be the one who triggers the leadership election. The alternative for him is humiliation. What a disaster his premiership has been.
