Leviticus 11:7. The pig is declared unclean. You shall not eat of their flesh or touch their carcass. The prohibition is absolute and unconditional, delivered alongside the prohibition on shellfish, on predatory birds, on creatures that swarm. The pig is unclean because it does not chew the cud. It has a divided hoof but it does not ruminate. It is, therefore, out. This gets taught as theology. As hygiene law: trichinosis risk in a hot climate without refrigeration. As divine instruction whose rationale is not our business. What it rarely gets taught as is what it also plainly was: an identity boundary marker between two groups of people who were competing for the same land and who ate very differently. The Israelites were pastoralists. Semi-nomadic herders of cattle, sheep, and goats, whose identity, economy, and religious practice were organised around ruminant animals. The sacrifice that mattered was a bull or a ram. The dietary laws that defined who you were, the clean animals, were all ruminants. The pig is not a ruminant. The pig does not fit the pastoral economy that the Israelite identity was built around. The pig does not move with a herd. It does not provide milk, wool, or the kind of wealth that scales with territory. The Canaanites were urbanists. City dwellers, agriculturalists, settled in permanent settlements with mixed economies that included: archaeologists have established this with some certainty from the bone deposits at Canaanite sites, significant pig keeping. The pig is the urban animal. The pig eats scraps, slop, food waste, garbage. It requires no grazing land. It requires no seasonal migration. It is the animal that a settled urban poor population keeps in the alley behind the house, in the courtyard, on the edges of the market. It converts urban waste into protein with remarkable efficiency. It is the animal of the city. The Israelite prohibition on pig is, at one level, the prohibition of the other people's food. The food of the settled, the urban, the non-pastoral. The food of Canaan. By making pig eating a sin, you make the Canaanite's dinner a mark of moral pollution. You make their food a line you cannot cross without losing your identity. You make the animal in their courtyard a reason not to sit at their table. Food prohibitions as identity enforcement work precisely because food is intimate. You can ignore someone's political organisation or their language or their clothing and remain who you are. You cannot eat with someone every day without being changed by the encounter. The prohibition ensures the encounter does not happen. The pig did not become unclean because God examined its biology and found it deficient. The pig became unclean because a pastoral people in competition with an urban people needed a bright, uncrossable line between themselves and the people whose land they were entering. The pig was the line. It has been enforced for three thousand years. That is a remarkably durable piece of food politics.

How to get huge on high reps: 1. Live in the 12–15 rep range 2. Get 1.6 grams of protein per kg 3. Sleep 8 hours a night 4. Stay the same size for years 5. Run enough gear to kill a rhinocerous 6. Win the genetic lottery of high responding 7. Grow through a pathway completely separate to training 8. Convince yourself it was the pump doing the work

I trade a lot better in recent weeks ignoring all the macro gibberish and instead focusing on crypto native demand & supply factors. All the US tradfi bros talk about their bullishness on crypto is a fade unless they put their money where their mouth is and start bidding in size via exchanges. Majority of the marginal risk capital in crypto are still driven by offshore and Korean CEX and they have entered a secular decline for months.

If the industry leaders don't step up to fix and improve the exchange infrastructure of crypto, trust in the market will be gone especially for altcoins and what follows is that there won't be many users that will participate in this market going forward.

After 6 months of training on carnivore: Your glycogen stores are full. Your performance is equal or better. Your recovery is faster. Your energy is more stable. Your joints are feeling great. But people who quit after 2 weeks will tell you it doesn't work. Give adaptation time to complete.

There are apparently some idiots out there that think you can’t build muscle without copious carbohydrates Here is the reality By far the most important variable is training consistently and with correct volume and intensity The other important variables are adequate protein and then adequate energy/calories- doesn’t really matter if it come from fat or carbohydrates And yes the sport science supports this as well! pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/24791918/ Some prefer carbs others prefer fats And of course the roided out freaks will have the most (not something I ever would do personally, but to each his own)

Rolling out the 1st 🧵 of the Daily Peel 🍌 AI x Crypto is more than a narrative it's an evolution 🤖 Prediction: 1 year from now AI crypto will be one of the biggest industries in Web3, but most projects chasing it right now are noise. We’re working with teams actually building useful, scalable AI infrastructure. Like @Orbitcryptoai. Let’s talk about what’s real & who else is building 👇

Orbit is solving the complexities of cross-chain interoperability by using intent-based architecture. With tools like @Wormhole and @Mayan’s bridge, we’ve streamlined asset transfers between chains (EVM to SVM) allowing users to deploy capital across multiple protocols seamlessly. The game-changer? We’ve abstracted the tech complexity into natural language, so users can trigger entire agent workflows with a simple action, like clicking a button. It’s a new era for multi-agent systems
