@JamesPearceLFC@greggevans40 Just get the geezer out. He’s hollowed out the squad as he never used anyone but his favoured 14 last year and half the squad wanted to leave or is leaving now.
He’s clueless.
This was no hard luck story and the statistics are grim - 18 defeats, 2pts out of 24 away to teams in the top half, & losing home/away to both Manchester clubs for the first time since 1912-13.
A bad day for Slot as the same old issues blight Liverpool.
nytimes.com/athletic/72503…
@WinsLFC@fplbaidy091 He just won’t. He knows it won’t benefit the club in the long run.
His words when he joined is to ‘look forward and stop looking back at the past’, as he knew the weight of the clubs past glories weighed heavily on every team after the hyclon era. And he was right. So move on
@WinsLFC Obviously Klopp lol but that’s not happening and only Alonso has any proven pedigree from the rest…
For me Luis Enrique (he’s won it all at PSG & Barca and said he wants to manage a big historic English club and he’s stood on the kop… ) and then Alonso in close second.
‘The decisions have gone against us every single game… This is a complete pattern.’ 🗣️
Arne Slot was left 𝐟𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 in his press conference after Liverpool lost to Manchester United at Old Trafford.
#StanSportAU#PremierLeague
@StanSportFC He’s embarrassing. You make your luck as King Kenny has said. The hardest working and best teams tend to also get the luck…
Positive things happen to positive people. He needs to be sacked asap. Get Stevie involved to finish the season until a new man is hired.
@Lfc_samie Useless as a RB in the PL. seems like a good lad but brings little value to the team. Been a terrible buy.
Have to play midfielders in his position and put him in as a winger if Mo isn’t playing 😞
Why didn’t Jomez start at RB today.
@D15Twisted@Realaldo474 Klopp won his last cup using kids… lol
He wouldn’t have let Quansah and Morton go and he’d be playing (developing) Rio nearly every game, even off the bench if needs be. He’d persist and give him time to develop. Like he did with Trent etc.
I don't know where to start !!!im absolutely shattered after seeing these performances over the last 12 months since we won the league v spurs.
This will be our 11 th defeat of the season in the league and over 12 months more. Some of the things i'm seeing astounds me.Weve no identity whatsoever.
@Gunneruni@Realaldo474 You’re full of bollocks. Your club has been caught red handed cheating for years. Back in your box you ghoul.
Sacked every manger months after a league win every other year 😂 ya 🤡
@PiocheLfc@SamueILFC He’s the coach… he’s got to coach them, part of that is getting them fired up. They just look clueless all round.
Sack him asap. Get rid.
Gerrard until the summer and go all in for Enrique or if needs must, Alonso.
Same shit tactics.
Same mistakes.
Same poor performances.
Same excuses.
No proper coaching.
No confidence in the team or the manager.
Fans unrest.
FSG: “Let’s give Arne Slot another season!” 🤡
@Livin_Liverpool@Slotoholic Yep, to ‘protect’ him… he’s going to be the reason Rio asks to leave in the summer. Slot doesn’t trust young players and isn’t willing to develop them.
Get him out the ASAP.
Rio Ngumoha didn't get a start today despite Isak, Ekitike and Salah being all out.
Since scoring against Fulham at home in a match he started, Rio got:
- 24 minutes vs PSG
- 19 minutes vs Everton
- 0 minutes vs Palace
- benched again today
@paulsatvik@Slotoholic What a load of waffle 🤣
And your point is what?
“If you’re good enough, you’re old enough”.
Imagine Hoddle was like you, we’d never have seen Owen dismantle Argentina as an 18 year old.
Klopp would have started Rio today and a lot more recently too.
@anfieldforge You’re forgetting getting pumped at home by PSV too… he’s got to go asap. The league win has got to his shiny head, he’s not got a clue. Form has been woeful since Feb 25.
Lose twice to Man Utd, twice to PSG, three times to Man City and three times to Crystal Palace. Lose 3-0 at home to Forest, then chuck in a defeat to Wolves for good measure.
Nine losses in twelve games, the worst record in the league for goals conceded from set pieces, and dumped out of every competition.
Then you’re told your job is safe… and somehow people are surprised nothing improves.
@WinsLFC Out - should be sacked for that line up alone.
RB played as RW.
Jones as RB…. Gomez is on the bench.
We need have a young lad who looks a worldie in the making, 4 MOTMs in last 5 starts but he won’t start him or give him minutes.
That’s just the start 🤣 hope he’s sacked.
🚨🎙️| Oliver Kahn on PSG’s European success carries a huge asterisk, built in Ligue 1, where domestic games feel optional while other elite clubs grind nonstop:
🗣️ “Look, I’m going to say something people don’t like but it has to be said.
When I watch how Paris Saint-Germain are treated in way to dominate Ligue 1, I don’t get impressed… I get questions.
Because in every top league I played in or studied closely, your best players don’t rest their way into big games, they fight their way there. In England, in Spain, in Italy… you earn your place every three days. You suffer, you adapt, you prove consistency.
But PSG? You look at the minutes these PSG players are playing in Ligue 1 and it’s embarrassing. Seven of the guys who started against Bayern have barely played half the games in the league? Half! While everywhere else, Premier League, Bundesliga, even La Liga, the big clubs are running their players into the ground every three days like slaves. Real football. These PSG boys are getting rested like they’re on vacation until the European nights come.
And don’t get me started on the postponements! Lens, Nantes… whenever it gets crunchy in the league, suddenly the fixture moves. Ligue 1 bending over backwards so PSG can stay fresh. Other leagues would laugh at that. We talk about ‘competitive integrity’? This is a joke. A farmer’s league where one team dictates the calendar.
Dembélé scoring braces in Europe after starting 9 league games? Come on. In a real league that wouldn’t fly the same way. This success is manufactured, heavy rotation at home, fresh legs for the big stage. Respect to the players when they deliver, but let’s not act like this is the same grind as Arsenal, City, Barcelona or Madrid.
Ligue 1 needs to look at itself. If you want to be taken seriously in Europe, stop protecting one club and make them actually compete week in, week out like everyone else. Otherwise, it’s just an exhibition league with one superstar team playing when they feel like it.
That’s the truth, because the numbers don’t lie.”
@l4pablo Captain Marvel. My idol growing up. The 05 and 06 finals alone 😋 he hits his prime in 08 and LFC nearly win the league.. no coincidence that, Rafa was very lucky to have him in his team, like Houllier lived off Owen.
I love Mo Salah, and he is definitely in my top 5 Liverpool players of all time. But Steven Gerrard will always be the greatest.
Not only was he a phenomenal footballer, the best English midfielder this country has ever produced, but he’s a local lad, a Scouser, and that will always be the difference.
Players come into the club and the city, and they will always leave and go back home. But Liverpool is where Gerrard grew up. This city is his home. That combination of world-class ability and deep local roots is why he will always be the greatest to ever put on the famous red shirt.
Like it or not, we Liverpudlians decide who our legends are, so people need to stop the comparisons between Gerrard and Salah. Because It’s Gerrard, and it always will be Gerrard.
#LFC 🔴8️⃣
@MartinPhd10044@Lemonbriz Fair enough. United aren’t a big side then, just ignore him being the only man in PL history to score a hattrick away at Old toilet when he helped pummel CR7s and Ole’s team 5-0 away, 5 up by the 50th minute 🤣 Ronaldo feigning injury, disassociating himself from the result 🤣
@Lemonbriz Couldn't agree more, he is so over-hyped by the scousers it's laughable😆
Padded his stats against lesser sides in nothing games but NEVER showed up in the massive games against elite sides.
WHEN did Salah ever drag LFC by the scruff like Gerrard did & will them to win? NEVER!
🚨Ole Gunnar Solskjær on Mohamed Salah being a Premier League legend
"While he is considered a legend by many Liverpool fans, I personally believe he hasn’t yet done quite enough to fully earn that elite status. When you look at the very best wingers to have played the game — players like Ryan Giggs and Cristiano Ronaldo — Salah, for all his brilliance, still doesn’t quite measure up in my eyes."
I'd sell Isak this summer for £80m and reinvest in a reliable, fit player.
We can't rely on his fitness next season.
The idea of him replacing Salah goals is ridiculous — Salah missed ~16 games in 9 years; Isak has already missed double that this season alone.
It'd take real courage for Hughes and Edwards to admit the mistake and cash in, so it's unlikely to happen.
Would you agree???
