Is September the most hectic month in the American golf maintenance industry? Smaller crews. Steady play. Aerifications. Overseeds. Events. Outings. Budgeting. A LOT is being asked of superintendents and their teams during the month.

@sull109602 What are specs on that pump/motor. Looks like I might have something that will help?

Another project nears completion. Irrigation completed, final shaping done. This area is 15o yards out on the right side of a par five. It used to be an overgrowth of trees and shrubs that played as a marked hazard. We have seen 10+ minutes cut off of pace of play.

I survived Chuck E Cheese. It was only my second time being inside one. Observations: The pizza sucked. Kids and sugar are a predictable bomb. A rat puppet sang some weird songs. KidsBopTV is filled with kids that don’t look like kids. Never beat a 5-year old at a video game if you are 57. The pizza sucked. The mom who brought her kid his healthy lunch meant well. But the other kids didn’t talk to him after that. It really takes 1 adult per 4.75 kids to keep control. I was asked several times if my beard was real. The kid who I made a joke with about him driving the bus so I could sleep didn’t think it was funny. Dip-n-Dots are just weird. The pizza sucked. A girl with fox ears decided foxes and bears get along fine. A girl named Brooklyn and a boy named Ben had a very serious discussion with me because of my Batman shirt. They believe all school busses should be turned into bat mobiles. The pizza sucked.

Maintenance Monday recipe was a needle tine, verticut, mow, Topdress and roll. We were also able to start verticutting fairways with our Super 600.

@dmorrowgolf Looks like it's playing great. More focus needs to be put o. How it's playing, not how it's looking.

Is it June 2nd or August 2nd ? Still looking good but this is going to be a long year if this keeps up.

Crazy how bentgrass putting surfaces have really turned off color due to extreme cold temps. Ryegrass practice tees also hammered due to cold.
