🧵The #LittleRockNine integrated Little Rock Central High School 66 years ago today. In 2023, many are hard at work to prevent children from learning that this vitriol and racism existed then and that it exists now.

If there was ever a symbol of the lack of health in a system, it's how Mitch McConnell's health and dignity mean nothing in comparison to holding on to a senate seat. (McConnell's politics and related actions have been abhorrent, but he's still a human being)

just a reminder that the religious right didn’t originally begin as a movement to oppose abortion but to oppose racial integration in the 1960s. white supremacy is a feature of white evangelicalism, not a flaw

During same period, Christians in North rejected slavery but espoused racist feelings about inferiority of Black people and the need for European Americans to stay separate of Black Americans. Racism is America: north, south, east, west.
Qasim Rashid, Esq.@QasimRashid

During the antebellum era, politicians and Christian preachers in the South justified slavery because "the white man civilized the Black man and gave him skills." In 2023 America they're pushing the exact same propaganda. Don't be fooled. This is the racist's playbook.

You know what's fun? Listening to "The Handmaid's Tale," in the same week that news headlines are talking about a GOP plan to replace our current form of government with a fascist dictatorship, if they win the white house in 2024. 😳😳😳

Churches are supposed to be apolitical. Churches that meddle in politics should lose their tax exempt status. Tax the church. Tax em’ hard. Agree?
