@Shawn_Anderson I've wondered if he retires, or if there is some kind of LTIR he could go on. But the show has to go on. Sens need to solidify their crease, which I can't believe has once again become the mantra in Ottawa. It's disappointing when you consider just how good this team has played.

@sjryanwriter @Andie00471 America has had the most prosperous run in the history of man, and decided to vote for an idiot who takes it all down. Unfathomable.
English

@Andie00471 The MAGA rubes voted for Trump because they hoped he would end the decades of forever wars and corruption. What should they have done? Continued voting for the people causing the forever wars and corruption?
English

After Trump dies, his memory has faded and life moves on, do you think MAGA rubes will look back and wonder why they donated the money, wore the hats and ear maxipads, bought the fake gold watches, drove around the country to rallies, wrapped their trucks with his image, and generally drank the Koolaid? Once the magic is gone, will they wake from the stupor and realize how stupid they looked? How much precious time and money they wasted? How the grift only worked because of their gullibility? Will they ever see how stupid it all was?
English

Team Canada lost the Gold medal for 3 reasons that the Main Stream Media is way too scared to talk about.
1) Florida Panthers players Brad Marchand and Sam Bennet hid major injuries. Or they were known and still went. (Why?)
2) Doug Armstrong hates the Oilers so left the top scoring Canadian Defenceman and Left Winger (Bouchard and Hyman) off the roster. See offer sheet to Oilers players.
3) Doug Armstrong tried to pump the value of his own players (Parayko and Binnington) to trade them at the deadline. See trade rumours all season.
When we are ready for these conversations around personal gain and selfishness we will be ready to compete for Gold again as a country.
English

@PuckLeafs @BMinimum69 Why am I not surprised leafs fans think trying hard is good enough. Participation ribbon generation
English

@PuckLeafs @OilersJack @batkins67 Yes, it is how it goes sometimes. That doesn’t mean we aren’t allowed to criticize decisions, or that some roster tweaks wouldn’t have made any difference.
English

@Microinteracti1 Russia and China must be sitting in their offices with huge smiles, watching the US alienate the entire world. They have been working toward this for decades. All they needed was their giant orange stooge. Fait accompli.
English

This is a complete humiliation 😅🇮🇹
Trump: “Give us your air bases to attack Iran.”
Meloni: “We won’t give.”
Trump: “NATO is zero without America.”
Meloni: “Cool. So should we shut down your bases, cut trade, or just storm McDonald’s?”
And then she followed through. Italy officially refused permission for U.S. military aircraft heading to the Middle East. Not a strongly worded letter. A flat refusal.
Aviano. Sigonella. Decades of quiet assumption that these bases were Washington’s to use as it pleased.
That assumption is now in the bin.

@OilersJack They lost in overtime.
McDavid, celebrini breakaways
MacKinnon wide open net
They picked a winning team just couldn’t quite get it done.
Quit whining, you people are the reason people hate on Bouchard and the oilers
English

@CGWM_Muhs @OilersJack Yes. For sure they should have had more players from a mediocre team in the worst division in hockey. Thats what they were missing.
English

@OilersJack Absolutely wild, in retrospect, that Team Canada had so many players from the 2nd worst team in the East (Florida) and omitted Bouche, Hyman, among others who really shoulda been on the team.
English

@OilersJack @batkins67 Nobody thought this was in the bag. We had chances to finish that game, but it didn’t happen. That’s how it goes sometimes, but keep crying about it.
English

@batkins67 Worthy of a win is such participation medal thinking. Take every advantage you can and Canada didn’t. They made bad optical descisions thinking this was in the bag. And it wasn’t.
English

@DarrenDotCa @HayesTSN And when it was time to name a GM, Dubas got the job over him. Since then, he interviewed for other GM positions and was never hired
English

@PuckLeafs @HayesTSN Hunter was assistant gm of the leafs under Dubas and Dale cosched Washington.
English

@DarrenDotCa @HayesTSN Yes you should get roasted for wanting to bring in guys who haven’t been hired by any NHL club.
English

@HayesTSN Going to get roasted for this but there are two guys, GM/President and Coach in London who has built structure and a culture of winning. 25 straight playoff appearances, multiple championships, memorial cups in a league that teams rebuild every four years.
English

@NewLeafs2016 @HayesTSN Scorched earth means trading 34 and 88. That brings back a lot of assets if done properly. You could jumpstart a rebuild and skip a couple years.
English

@HayesTSN *You cannot do a scorched earth rebuild when you don't own your own first round picks*.
Why is this difficult to grasp? You want to gift wrap a top unprotected pick to a rival franchise? Because that's what you are really calling for.
English

@IceFishing69 @Berger_BYTES That’s a joke, right? So hard to tell these days
English

@Berger_BYTES Good coach, I think a high probability he stays
English

Really, it was unfair to retain Craig Berube when Treliving was fired. He’s the epitome of a lame-duck coach, knowing that new management will not keep him. Derek Lalonde could have taken the bench for the last couple of weeks. Give the guy a bit of respect. He’s won a #StanleyCup. More here… but.ly/4v5QKgE #LeafsForever #MLSE

English

@joshbeleaf Why is Anaheim trading mintyukov for Robertson +
Sanford is not NHL ready. He needs time I. The minors. Let’s develop someone properly.
English

@SportsDataQuest @RobWong34 There is a reason Mark hunter has never been hired by an NHL to be GM
English

@RobWong34 Bring in Brett Peterson or Sunny Mehta from Florida.
I wouldn't be to surprised if MLSE gave the teams hockey decisions fully over to the Hunter brothers either with Dale as PoHO and Mark as GM while MLSE handled the business side.
English

@NILSBROWN @HockeyyInsiderr @CanadiensMTL Perhaps, but playing yourself out of three cities is a pretty big red flag.
English

@PuckLeafs @HockeyyInsiderr @CanadiensMTL Based on that he helped hauled the team over the line last year almost after coming back from injury late December. Getting 20 goals in half a season.
Something like this.
It’s TRUE he doesn’t fit here now, but he could fit in with a team that are not all 22 and super mobile.
English

Patrick Laine’s 4-year $34.8 million contract includes a $2 million signing bonus payable annually on March 31, including in the final year (March 31 2026). Sources close to the @CanadiensMTL have informed me that Laine has been told by the team that he will not play again for them and his contract will not been renewed. Patty will still collect a pretty decent pay day tomorrow .
English

@Ms_NYRangers What’s the problem? Domi did what he was supposed to do and Gudas took his lumps like a man. Gudas decided to not punch back. Nothing to see here.
English

The leafs only have Max Domi to send out to fight Gudas who ended their captains season 🥱
Sportsnet@Sportsnet
Radko Gudas answers the bell in a scrap with Max Domi 🔔
English

@TslaGroupie 💯 I figured with this new cabinet he’d be surrounded by sharper minds making better decisions… not more of the same.
