@Purpura57912934 [p2] There's no process in the history of Rome, not even the transformation from Republic to Empire, that can compare to the transformation that Christianity brought, for better, or worse.

@Purpura57912934 Christianity altered nearly every aspect of the Roman state down to it's foundations. The military was restructured, slavery was replaced with serfdom, the Emperor's position was solidified, entire social classes were created and destroyed, and so much more.

Unpopular opinion: Roman switch from Graeco-Roman polytheism to Christianity was a far more radical change than moving the political center of gravity from Rome to Constantinople or (eventually) replacing Latin with Greek. Remarkably, Roman state endured it all, without collapse.
