Absolutely hardest conditions I’ve driven so far fighting zero zero grip 🤯 Fog, cold rain, rubbered track. Drift session. Bottled my both laps sadly so P37 start but at least sacrificed my lap to give teammate slipstream🙏🥲 Ice skating at Spa 🤣

I have some really bad news: I've been disqualified from participating in the Nurburgring 24 hour. As you can imagine I'm totally devastated to not be taking part in what would have been the biggest race of my life.

Comfortable lead then a puncture for Steve on his inlap unfortunately caused damage to the control arm. The BF boys did their best to fix it but unfortunately we weren't able to get back out. Es ist was es ist - We'll go again tomorrow.

Context: we were comfortably leading our class at NLS1 at the Nurburgring. Front right tyre blew out whilst at full speed on the Dottinger Hohe. Managed to keep it out of the wall but it was a sweaty moment. Had to retire the car from our first race but hope to back tomorrow.

I just had a tyre blowout at 277kph 🥲

@JimmyBroadbent I watch all F1 races, but I am also at the racetracks around me quite regularly. Nürburgring, Spa, Zolder, Zandvoort, Hockenheim. Especially the 'ring and the Nordschleife is great for watching some clublevel racing - including that guy from the Shed :).

To add to this... If you're a motorsport fan, support club level racing. The people that race are there for the passion of the sport, often at a finanicial loss. I guarantee you'll get more value for money/enjoyment from that than spending £500 to maybe get a seat at a GP.

I see so many huge simracing brands (wheels, equipment)but so little amount of simracers making their way to real racing and these brands missing huge partnering potential in my opinion. Would love to see more cross of these worlds and I think simracing brands are missing on it😉

@clarkesworld Wow. As usual humans quickly figure out the darker side of every new invention. Are those submissions purely AI or is plagiarism still a thing? Or did plain plagiarism just go away with AI? Or, since AI scrubs other stuff, is AI just the new plagiarism?
