Who, exactly, are your constituents? Are your constituents Haitian nationals living in America on a purportedly TEMPORARY basis?
Or are your constituents actual American citizens who have to pay for the costs of these multi-decade "asylum seekers" as well as compete against these Haitians for every scarce American resource--housing, healthcare, education, employment, infrastructure, food, EVERYTHING.

I voted to extend TPS for Haitians because I cannot, in good conscience, send people who were lawfully granted protection here, followed our laws, and built lives under our rules back to rape, murder, and chaos in a lawless Haiti. This is completely separate from amnesty or illegal immigration. Conflating the two is dangerous.

To strip legal status from Haitian immigrants who are working, paying taxes and contributing to our economy and fulfilling a healthcare need at a time when our healthcare system continues to face workforce shortages would be uncompassionate and misguided.
