Last year, Braylon Mullins’ high school career ended in a double-OT loss to Luke Ertel and Mt. Vernon in the sectional championship. Mullins never won a sectional title at Greenfield-Central. Now, he’s one win away from clinching a NATIONAL title at UConn. Sports are amazing.

Matt Painter: 2026 Legends of Coaching Recipient In the 50th anniversary year of the John R. Wooden Award, honoring Matt Painter as the 2026 Legends of Coaching recipient reflects everything the award stands for, excellence, integrity, and leadership. Since taking over at Purdue Boilermakers men's basketball, Coach Painter has built one of the most consistent and respected programs in the country. His success goes beyond wins and championships, it’s defined by player development, discipline, and a commitment to shaping student athletes both on and off the court. Fittingly, this honor also connects back to John R. Wooden, a proud Purdue alumnus, making this recognition especially meaningful. As the Wooden Award celebrates 50 years, Coach Painter represents the values that continue to define its legacy, doing things the right way, and building something that lasts.

Purdue's Trey Kaufman-Renn will be doing a meet and greet at the Final Four fan fest on Sunday, courtesy of Ritz. Entry is free. Fan fest is located outside Lucas Oil Stadium. TKR's appearance is 12:45-1:45 p.m.

News: The NCAA will penalize programs that sign/add a transfer or allow a transfer to participate in athletically related activities without the athlete being entered into the transfer portal.  Penalties include a head coach suspension (50% of a season) + a fine of 20% of that sport's budget.

BREAKING: Florida 7-foot-9 center Olivier Rioux is entering the transfer portal, his agent @peteyannopoulos from @AthletesInPower Sports Management told @TheFieldOf68. Rioux is one of the most popular players in the world and was a starter for Team Canada U19 at the World Cup last summer.
