During his visit, Bhattacharya met with campus research leaders, including @PUCancerInst Director Andrew Mesecar and PI4D Director Richard Kuhn. The conversation highlighted Purdue’s strengths in biomedical research and its alignment with the NIH mission to enhance health, lengthen life and reduce illness and disability. Dr. Mesecar emphasized Purdue's strengths in cancer research including development of targeted cancer therapeutics, structural biology, drug design, medicinal chemistry, and clinical trials in canines.
