it is (relatively) easy to copy something that you know works. it is extremely hard to do something new, risky, and difficult when you don't know if it will work. individual researchers rightly get a lot of glory for that when they do it! it's the coolest thing in the world.

Toronto has been through some massive floods this summer. We need to look at all possible solutions to manage and mitigate the impacts these have on residents and the entire city. Yesterday I got to learn more about @PurePaveTech and I’m genuinely impressed.

@BradMBradford @PurePaveTech I got a @PurePaveTech driveway because my street does not have any drainage and we used to have massive puddles every time it rained. It has been awesome. Definitely an innovative way to solve flooding issues.

@Brickinthewall9 @BradMBradford @ottawacity has the rain ready program that provides grants to property owners who install it. Likewise, if developers are provided with stormwater credit they can increase their lot coverage, resulting in greater land use and incentives to implement these systems

@BradMBradford @PurePaveTech How many years will it take until planning accepts permeable pavers as legit? As you well know, it ties into laneway suites and all manor of residential files, countless projects could have been more easily approved if this one thing was possible.
