There will be a way to catch on sooner or later.

Canceling 167 contracts and saving $115 million might look good on paper, but what does it mean for the people who depend on those programs? Take that $2.23 million contract for "equity assessments" at HHS. Sure, it's a lot of money, but equity assessments are about making sure everyone gets a fair shot, no matter their background. You're basically saying that making sure programs are fair isn't worth the cost. But isn't fairness something we should all care about? Shouldn't we be focusing on how we can help everyone, not just saving bucks? When you cut these contracts, are you also cutting jobs? Are you reducing services for people who need them? It's easy to brag about savings, but what's the real cost to society? Maybe instead of just looking at numbers, we should be asking if these cuts are going to make our community better or worse. Because at the end of the day, we're all in this together, and sometimes, spending money now can save us a lot more in the long run by making sure everyone has an equal chance. So, before we all clap for these savings, let's think about what we might be losing in the process.
