Really? Hockey is still the No. 1 sport at SCSU. They are currently doing upgrades on the Herb. They have contract with Twin Cities TV. They keep producing NHL talent (Posch, Gross). Maybe the only reason they’ve missed the tournament is because of the head coach now at U. 🤷🏼‍♂️

@MNHockeyStar I would say probably not. For a few reasons. If you like where you are. I’m sure the cost of living is cheaper in Kalamazoo. He is less likely to ever be fired, so long term pay is longer, and already can recruit great players like Bump last year.

One thing I will say about Brett Larson.. I saw the dude at so many high school hockey games. 3 years to get to a frozen four. That’s the leash. Idk why Pat wasn’t even approached or called. It is what it is. We ride with Brett.

I have yet to hear a negative thing about Brett Larson from guys who played for him.

Gophers AD Mark Coyle interviewed 2 college coaches this weekend, including St. Cloud State’s Brett Larson, and Hartford Wolf Pack coach Grant Potulny. So one mystery college coach. Hearing there may be one other candidate interviewed, too. Usually Coyle acts fast and there’s tons to do (portal opens after Frozen Four, determining which players he’ll keep, which are leaving), so I bet he has a men’s hockey coach decision soon. Coyle is speaking for the first time since the coaching changes later today to introduce Greg May as the women’s coach.

Ryan Van Demark’s $4.2 million deal with the #Vikings was just out of reach of what the Bills were willing to fit under their salary cap (the RFA tender was $3.52M). Vikings added the swing lineman they wanted with a savvy bit of pricing from Rob Brzezinski and crew.
