@RabidLagomorph @rhinoz No it’s not at all much cheaper. I do staples there and shop specials at coles and Woolworths. Working full time with a bunch of kids makes this just another commitment to afford to eat. Plus now the house I’m renting is up for sale. It never ends. It’s not about fucking cheese🙄

@PurpleTarantula @rhinoz This. I shop there for myself and my sister, and there’s a slight saving. But it’s not dramatic, even though we buy in bulk. People proposing it as a “solution” don’t understand the challenges people are going through.

@RabidLagomorph @rhinoz I buy most things from aldi (large family) and that includes cheese. I only buy in block and last time I checked it was $9.50 per kg. Take out wastage with the bits that can’t be grated or the kids taking an extra thick slice instead of sprinkling shredded, then it’s no different
